Well, this question comes once and again. I have RC3 and Garf's RC2 tuned versions (160 and 350) in a nice graph. Nobody should be surprised that RC3 is better, but in some cases GRC2 shows better EAQUAL/bitrate results. There seems to be room for improvement in RC3 with some tweaking. I have run an ogg analisis using EAQUAL from -q 0 till -q 10 evaluating bitrate and quality. I just wanted to know if anyone has noticed a difference between MP3 and OGG encoded files when having the Winamp equalizer switched on? I seem to be missing bass and the sound doesn't fill the room as much with OGG. I've just Replaygained several of my Vorbis albums with Vorbisgain, ranging from 80's metal to present day soft rock. What I don't understand is why does Vorbisgain actually make all tracks QUIETER? I see an average of -7db on most albums. And after that, not only are they substantially quieter than my MP3s (which is a pain), but it also fails to really "even out" the volume.

Everytime I try to copy some files from a Win98 machine to the server, the progress bar freezes after a while and then after a minute or so I get an error message that the 'network ressource isn't available'.
