OGG portable (iRiver iHP-120)
I remember seeing a post about a japanese link to a new portable with OGG support. I stumbled across this today and thought I'd throw it out there incase you guys hadn't seen it. http://www.iriveramerica.com/products/iHP-120.asp Looks pretty sweet to me. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this

The 'test.terms' argument in 'regTermTest' in package 'survey'
This is a question regarding the 'regTermTest' function in the 'survey' package. Imagine Z as a three level factor variable, and code ZB and ZC as the two corresponding dummy variables. X is a continuous variable. In a 'glm' of Y on Z and X, say, how do the two test specifications test.terms = c("ZB:X","ZC:X") # and test.terms = ~ ZB:X + ZC:X in

iRiver iGP-100 Review on Tomshardware.com
http://www.tomshardware.com/consumer/20040428/index.html The iRiver iGP-100 was just reviewed at Toms Hardware. They specifically mention that it supports Vorbis. Just thought I'd pass this along. How to draw frequency domain plot with xts time series data
Hello, I'd like to convert the below time-series data with fft or wavelet related function and plot it. Could you let me know 1. How to convert xts data frame format to list format ? 2. How to plot fft or wavelet diagram ? Here is the data : > class(zc) [1] "xts" "zoo" > str(zc) An ‘xts’ object from (10/15/12 09:00:00) to (10/15/12 15:15:00)

[support@mydivaplayer.com: Re: Ogg Vorbis support? -=[2214]=-]
I'm not subscribed to this list, but I have been reading the archive online for awhile now. I thought this forward may be of interest. It sounds like we _might_ have Vorbis capable players in the near future! :) Any more word on support from iRiver? The hardware URL has not been updated since they were supposedly shipping Vorbis capable units to Xiph. -- Mark Nipper

Question about Ogg files Structure
Hi, I bought an iRiver HP-120 which can read ogg files (via a hard drive). Many people experiment that reading ogg file decrease the baterry charge more quickly than with mp3 at the same bitrate. The only raisonnable reason of that mysterious thing is that reading ogg file is not sequential onto hard drive, and the hard drive head must move more than for reading an mp3 at the same quality, and

FLAC, ogg and iRiver
I've seen in this discussion: http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis/200304/0000.html that not only is it possible for the iRiver iMP-350 to play Ogg, it can also play FLAC - I didn't know this, and two question arrise: * It is possible to get the iRiver H120/140 to play FLAC (I know the Rio Karma can) * People sometimes say things like "Ogg is not tuned well for high bit rates"

Help asked for automated generation of ncdf variables
Hi, I'm using the "ncdf" library for creating ncdf files. But I need to create about 100 variables per file (e.g. single rivers), So I do not like to create each variable separately. Unfortunately I found no way to make this work, as I'm unable to create a correct list of class "var.ncdf". ###code piece river=list(mode='var.ncdf', length=nriv)

New iRiver Firmware supports Vorbis!
iRiver released some firmware updates today for many of their CD and Flash-based MP3 players. Among the added features is the ability to play back Ogg Vorbis and FLAC audio files. Interestingly, in order to make room for the decoders, they also _removed_ the ability to play back Windows Media Audio. It's unfortunate that they had to take out some capability, but I'd prefer Ogg to wma

[LLVMdev] Inline Assembly: Memory constraints with offsets
Hi, I'm trying to implement the ZC inline assembly constraint for Mips. This constraint is a memory constraint that expands to an address with an offset (the range of the offset varies according to the subtarget), so the inline assembly in: int data[10]; void ZC(void) { asm volatile ("foo %0 %1" : : "ZC"(data[1]), "ZC"(data[2])); } Should expand to

polygon error?
Hi.. I'm not sure why polygon returns an area above the standard normal curve. z <- pretty(c(-3,3), 100) ht <- dnorm(z) data <- data.frame(z=z, ht=ht) zc <- 1.645 plot(data, type="l") lines(data) t <- subset(data, z>zc) polygon(t, col="red") Thanks, Lance [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Missing data on PDB's generated by lld
No, we use msvc cl.exe as a compiler generating C7 debug information (here is more or less our compiler options regarding optimization/debugability): /Z7 /GL- /bigobj /Zo /utf-8 /arch:AVX /std:c++14 /Zc:inline /Zc:ternary /Zc:rvalueCast /Zc:strictStrings /O2 /MD In this list the only weird one is /bigobj, my main fear is that we might get to the limit of sections on an obj and then by adding the

allofmp3.com provides ogg downloads
In case anyone is interested, there is a great online music store at allofmp3.com that features $0.01 (USD) per Mbyte download. Since they are based in Russia, they pay very low royalties. The kicker is that they encode to your requested format, including ogg/vorbis at whatever quality or bitrate setting you want. Downloading legal ogg's to my iRiver iHP-120.... Oh, the bliss.....
