Re: [advocacy] current tshirt/slogan submissions
Two notes on my T-shirt design... Had I known there was an official logo/font for the Ogg Vorbis and Xiph I would have used it. Sorry if this causes any problems. :o) #ifdef Stand_on_SoapBox As for the phenomenon vs. standard I think I may want to explain. It seems that whenever the media reports on Ogg (or ANY open source project for that matter) they often use the word phenomenon to

Send in your favorite CentOS slogan today
Hi everyone, The CentOS project is looking for more slogans that may end up on promotional material (eg media, flyers, posters or stickers). We already collected a few funny, ironic, sarcastic or even distasteful ones. Feel free to visit our Slogans wiki page for a good laugh or rude offenses and add your own slogan by sending them to this thread. See: http://wiki.centos.org/Promo/Slogans

CentOS Tshirt ideas
hi, We have, like in the years past, a table at Fosdem and I'd like to get some tshirts printed to hand out. In the past, the Linux Ninja's and Beards ones got quite a bit of attention ( and both were not brand spammy, which is always nice ). Reaching out to the mailing list for ideas on what we can do this year, with the caveat that I need to finalise by this weekend if we are to get

tshirt design needed
I've copied vorbis@xiph on this message simply because it will be interesting there, but also to give those who haven't yet subscribed to the advocacy list a taste of the things that (should) happen there. As you know we are planning to sell vorbis shirts, both to promote the vorbis format and to raise some money for the Xiph.org Foundation. I have been talking to an online retailer

logos and goodies
I've got a couple questions related to my search (in vain) for an "R" tshirt or coffee mug. The first question is simply: is there a higher-resolution R logo available than the one at r-developer.org? (or the modified one provided by useR conference pages) Next: what are the chances of someone in the "R management" setting up a cafepress.com "R

A new logo for HDT
Hey, The HDT project is more and more active and tend to bring new releases as often as possible. We are on a good track for releasing HDT 0.3.5 in a few days. Beside of that, we are trying to give this project a dedicated identity. The first step is having a 'cool' logo that represent HDT. This work will lead to - give some shine on our website (http://hdt-project.org) ;) - a

A large streaming project
> As a guess, how many IceCast streams could be supported on one Linux PC > (say 1.5Ghz PC). Icast at one point had about 456 stations or so. We were able to do this (all the music was preencoded) with 8 machines quite reliably. Basically 4 machines sourced streams, and 4 machines served them. Only three machines were really needed, so failures were taken care of if only one machine

R-devel and gcc 3.4
I tried compiling R-devel from the subversion sources using gcc 3.4.1 and it fails in make check at d-p-q-r-tests. It compiles and works using gcc 3.3.4. Coding in python using shout-python bindings
Hello, I'm creating a module written in python that brings an easy to implement interface for the libshout lib, mainly to provide streaming capabilities to a gnome player called Exaile (http://www.exaile.org). The module is almost done (already available at http://devpower.blogsite.org:8080/archivos/icastplugin.py) but I'm encountering some problems (I believe sync problems):
