"No disk in drive" "anti-piracy" message
Hello!
I have just installed a legal copy of a two--disk game using Wine.
The first problem when trying to run the installed game was
"Anti-piracy protection: no CD/DVD drive found". It could be
prevented by mapping CD directly onto the root directory of a new
drive. But then the next message showed: "Anti-piracy protection: No
disk in CD drive" or something like that. The CD

[LLVMdev] Issues with IPO optimization passes and JIT
Hello,
I am working on an LLVM-based JIT for a dynamically typed language
(freemat.sf.net), and would like to commend the LLVM team on an
awesome piece of work. One issue I ran into that I was hoping for
some clarification. Nominally, I had started out by performing code
generation from the AST into a function that was added to the current
module. I then ran a PassManager on that module to

Hi Brian.
I also agree with you on these points you mention. If you guys are familiar on how the piracy groups work on the internet, you are aware that they have "releases" with their names on it. In the piracy "scene", some groups are competing on getting the first release out, and could only be beaten by another group releasing another higher quality release. Some groups (or

[Fwd: Re: File formats (RE: MP4 Player Available for Download)]
I recall reading that all MPEG AAC software has different and
incompatible file formats , because this is a condition set by
the MPEG AAC technology licensing authority.
Some kind of yet-another-anti-piracy-measure, the idea probably
being that users of different software can not swap their files.
I picked up this a while ago when following AAC software development,
but can't remember exactly

Module '***.so' did not register itself during load
Hi,
I've experiencing this kind of problem.
Actually, my asterisk is running perfectly. I've tested it, and I called some computer in my LAN. Then I enter the CLI and entered these commands
- show modules
- modules status (or so.. I forget)
- restart now
After I enter the last command, the CLI is exiting and nothing happened. Then I try to run the asterisk with command

Unofficial sources (such as Usenet and that torrent site with the old
fashioned sailing ship as its logo) are much more likely to have FLAC
files that were made from lossy audio.
And I vaguely remember reading

How to make Vorbis popular
Ogg Vorbis is still not known by the mainstream and not widely used
these days.
I've been thinking about this... MP3 is so popular because people can
download music for free (and thus pirating music).
I recommend Vorbis to everybody I know, but most of them refuse to even
try it because it's not popular (or because they are hardcore MP3
zealots), which results in a circle (little people
