ogg/vorbis on OS/2 and console apps
Is the vorbis encoder a console app? If so it should
already run on OS/2? Or is that only 16 bit console
apps that ran on OS/2?

re: Seek problems with vorbis_file
Turned out to be a bug in my implementation of the file callbacks (not
setting up vi->end properly). Apologies :)

[PATCH] make vorbis work with KDE 3.0
Hello,
the appended Patch makes vorbis work on KDE 3.0.(again)
A seek on a closed stream segfault vorbis, unfortunately
this situation happens in the KDE Multimedia player
very frequently (threads), thus vorbis does not work with KDE 3.0.
The bug is that the goto seek_error calls in ov_pcm_seek_page
do not set the return value in the error case.
Monty, can you apply this?
The bug was

AW: Ogg Vorbis and DirectSound streaming
BTW: You can pass also the float32 data directly to DirectSound instead of
doing the conversion (float32->int16) yourself. Have a look at
"WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE" in the Windows Platform SDK

Launch of OggHelp.com
Hello everyone,
I would like to bring to your attention the new website that I have been working on. It is a portal for articles, links, and support for everything related to Ogg Vorbis. It just started and hopefully will be evolving rapidly.
http://www.ogghelp.com
I have modeled it after the group of successful Help pages such as http://VCDHelp.com and DVDHelp.com.

Hardware Vorbis
There is a 'feeling' on the opencores list that an audio decoder is desired.
(MP3 gets mentioned occasionally, but has its patent problems etc...)
http://www.opencores.org/ no audio projects are underway yet and I think a
vorbis decoder will take a while but even if only a start is made then
others may add to it.
For their one year anniversary they will actually be doing a chip run and

Thanks for your reply.
So there is no data block size anywhere. In that case I will have to at
least subtract the size of any comments since it could be considerable. Can
you please help with determining the size of the comment header

The licensing issue is still a mess, although they
hope to make it at least coherent "real soon now". Use
at your own risk.
BTW, there is no MP4. The equivalent audio codec is the
Dolby AAC.

Experimental info editor for winamp
Hello everyone,
I just want to let everyone know that I have been working on something new
for the winamp plugin. Over the past few days I've been putting together a
plugin with a comment/info editor. I now have something that is worth
showing off. I have a working winamp plugin for Ogg/Vorbis that uses Warren
Spits' VCE program to edit and add comments in .ogg files. This also works
