Seeking in a saved stream; or, Why isn't that sucker valid?
I hope that this is the appropriate venue for this question. If it's not, let me know and I'll take it elsewhere (perhaps vorbis-dev). Saved streams are great - it lets this norteamericano get his fill of BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix. Unfortunately, saved streams aren't seekable. Running ogginfo on the stream data gives: erial=1626603590 header_integrity=pass vendor=Xiphophorus

Theora and WeBM support in Firefox and Opera
I did some tests: ### Theora support in Firefox 3.7a (missnamed as "Minefield"): Same as since 3.5 (plays, no controls if Javascript off, no thorough retest of buffering issues). http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/theora/2010-January/003369.html http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449358 ### WeBM support in Firefox 3.7a Seems to play (controls bug of course also there) and

The company is scheduled to officially announce the release at its Google I/O developers conference next month, a source with knowledge of the announcement said. And with that release, Mozilla ? maker of the Firefox browser ? and Google Chrome are expected to also announce support for HTML5 video

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Thanks for this information, but the two connections do not die out when using my player in the Android browser. In fact they even stay when the Audio.src is set to some invalid string. You can observe this here: http://concertzender.nl/wp-content/themes/cz-theme/App/test/ , by clicking one of the large icons - and then monitor the corresponding stream here: http://streams.greenhost.nl:8080/

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Dear all, The problem I am facing, is that one of my clients is concerned about data usage. My client monitors the current number of listeners in the Mount Point list streams.greenhost.nl:8080. The case is, when I start a stream from an HTML app on an Android device, I can see two listeners being added to "Current Listeners". This peculiar behaviour only occurs on Android, not on

Bad news from Google
Google has just made [1] the probably largest amount of internet video available with HTML5 and h264. Thats really bad news. If somthing else doesn't happen soon, h264 will be the de-facto standard by end of the year. And they even dare say: "We are very excited about HTML5 as an open standard and want to be part of moving HTML5 forward on the web." [1]

HTTP authentication
Hi. I'm trying to set up a mountpoint with authentication type="htpasswd". It's correctly set up, but I have problems to listen in some players. In Winamp, I've tried this URL structure: http://user:password at server:port/mountpoint. But in VLC, with same structure, a window is opened requesting that data every time. In HTML5 players, the same problem. How can I play this

I'm moving this over to flac-users... Anyway, are you using Mike Wren's installer? I'm not familiar with that yet. Cortado status controls in IE6
I have need to make an .ogv file available on IE6. I am using cortado_latest.jar to make this happen. Hovering over the playing video causes the status bar to appear as expected. In the status bar the play button, pause button, and stop button all work as expected. However the slider has no effect. I have examined and tried several of the parameters but see nothing that would make the slider

HTTP authentication
I would like to have a private signal, which can only be tuned by whoever has the username and password, and know who is connected. But I wish the URL could be delivered with the username and password, to open it directly on a player or receiving device... Thanks. Directshow filters 0.64.7878
Updated again... theora works and seeks properly (not to keyframe) in WMP 9 and 10. You can encode from a bunch of onew input types like RGB32, RGB24, IYUV etc. And fixed a bug that was stopping the filters being used in a activeX control in an IE browser. www.illiminable.com/ogg/ Enjoy, Zen.
