ScatterPlot
I am trying to make a scatterplot with containing three columns. I know how to plot the two columns but now the third column consists of M or F (male or female) and I don't know how to separate the data so I can make two separate regression lines on the same graph. meta #name of file plot(meta$mass, meta$rate, xlab="mass", ylab="rate") I can make the regression line

Problems with NUT 2.7.2 on CentOS 7 and using the Mini-Box OpenUPS
[please keep the list CC'd. thanks!] On Mar 13, 2015, at 10:53 AM, Philip Taylor <philip at kelsotowers.co.uk> wrote: > I?ve set up UPSMON to simply execute ?shutdown -h now? and my system shuts down when I type ?upsmon -c fsd?. Data Mining in Europe, please advise
Our CEO, Dr. Dan Steinberg, is planning to visit Europe in May. He would like the opportunity to introduce statisticians (and statistically minded people) to data mining, data mining applications and to forefront data mining tools. Our algorithms are probably familiar to many statisticians (CART, MARS, MART, TreeNet and RandomForests), although it isn't necessary to be a statistician to

Supporting a DIY UPS with minimal effort butmaximum gain
Ha! I got several on and off list requests for details, so I'll give a bunch of details here and then maybe I can move this to a wiki page others can help edit. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Be careful! My implementation required opening up high power components, and dealing with 120VAC mains power and high currents on 12VDC. If you decide to tackle any of this yourself, you need to understand

Supporting a DIY UPS with minimal effort butmaximum gain
Looks very great, thanks for writing this! I gather you'd port this to the Wiki page you've started, too? A couple of comments: > So I run a NUT server on a Raspberry PI which is connected via USB to my DIY-NAS Arduino. DIY-UPS? > See drivers/arduino-hid.c for the list of supported IDs... Since NUT v2.8.1 [PR #1369], the `usbhid-ups` driver allows the user to specify a

row subtraction
I don't know if there is a way to do this in R but I want to subtract within the same column from different rows. I want to subtract c(r)-c(r-1) and continue down the column until they are all calculated and form another column. Again I don't know if R can do this but I thought I would ask. Thanks either way

Andre Bierwirth's ring state patches for SNOM 200 programable buttons
I have the programable button led's working properly on my snom 200 except they don't flash during a ring event. I found a post by Andre Bierwirth saying he had a patch that he submitted but didn't make it into CVS. I would like to get a copy of that as a starting point to implement button flashing on ring. I have read through all the code and it looks like it should be pretty

[PATCH 0/3] OpenUPS updates
Hi, I've been checking out NUT with an OpenUPS board over the last couple of weekends, and have noticed that it doesn't seem to report sensible values. This lead me to investigate usbhid-ups and delve into various issues. As mentioned in a github issue, one of the problems is with the report descriptor - dumping this from the usbhid-ups debug output and picking through it reveals that

Added -f command line option to upsmon
Folks, I recently had a discussion with Philip Ward about the need for upsmon to be the master of a couple of UPS'es that are not providing power to the system that it (upsmon) is running on (Windows servers and SAN systems). These systems have in common that they are incapable of being master, so they rely on a upsmon that is running on a *nix box. We came to the conclusion that it might be

upsmon/upssched on ups temperature
Hi All, I was wondering what people are doing to shutdown their equipment based on the temperature NUT grabs from a UPS? It doesn't appear that upsmon(8) has an appropriate notify event for temperature levels. For the time being, it looks like I'll write a simple perl wrapper around upsc to get ups.temperature, but would love to use something natively from NUT, if possible. Also,

Passwords not verified in upsmon?
Hy list, first of all - yes I have read the docs, but obvious I must have missed something. The user/password setting in upsd.users seems to be ignored and I can monitor the ups with some arbitrary password. The following setup is working: Server A has nut installed and has the following config: upsd.conf: ACL localnets 192.168.101.0/255.255.255.0 ACL localhost 127.0.0.1/32 ACL all

upsmon.conf::POWERDOWNFLAG
?Hello everybody, I've just noticed that POWERDOWNFLAG defaults to /etc/killpower in upsmon.conf. I believe that such files belong to the /run sub-tree. Not only because it's not a config. file; mainly because many embedded systems actually have most of the FS read-only and have only the /tmp, /var and /run writable... Is there any particular reason to keep the file in /etc? Thanks,

Memory leak in upsmon
Hello, I was running upsmon some time without UPS connected and noticed significant memory leak. After some debugging I found the leak source. It is in file clients/upsclient.c. Function upscli_connect() allocates memory for ups->pc_ctx and in case of any error, just returns -1 without freeing it. My NUT version is 2.2.0, but I quickly looked through 2.2.1 sources and it seems this bug was not

Fw: upsmon not authenticating (I've read the FAQ)
Another update! It works. The systems shuts down properly when power is lost. Almost. "upsdrvctl shutdown" disconnects my UPS from the mains. From everything I've read in the documentation this should turn off the output of the UPS, not the input. Am I right here? I'm still having the following problem. Any help is appreciated. >> Also - I get the following every 4

upsmon event log spam
Windows 7 Pro x64 NUT 2.6.5-4 upsmon, when there is a problem, spams the event log every 5 seconds. Poll interval is 5 seconds also. I have witnessed the below messages filling up the event log. upsmon - UPS [ups at localhost]: connect failed: Connection failure: Unknown error. upsmon - Poll UPS [ups at localhost] failed - Data stale. I've already reported earlier how I've been
