[PATCH] Fix ectest to not check a case which isn't guaranteed to work, and which we don't use.
When I removed the special case for EC_ILOG(0) in commit 06390d082dcdfa8addb3dde337543bc0f0ebae44, it broke ec_dec_uint() with _ft=1 (which should encode the value 0 using 0 bits). This feature was tested by ectest.c, but not actually used by libcelt. An assert has been added to ec_dec_uint() to ensure that we don't try to use this feature by accident. ec_enc_uint() was actually correct,

[PATCH] Eliminate the ec_int32 and ec_uint32 typedefs.
These were used because the entropy coder originally came from outside libcelt, and thus did not have a common type system. It's now undergone enough modification that it's not ever likely to be used as-is in another codec without some porting effort, so there's no real reason to maintain the typedefs separately. Hopefully we'll replace these all again somedate with a common set

Xapian for Zenwalk
Hi all, Oskar (email unknown) has packaged xapian-core for Zenwalk Linux. I believe it's now been added to their official snapshot. See the second page of this thread on the ZenCommunity forum : http://users.zenwalk.org/support/index.php/topic,151.msg722.html Cheers. Fabrice

celtenc/celtdec does not display CELT_VERSION
A small issue, but missing. Something like this would be helpful: - printf ("celtenc (CELT encoder)\n"); + printf ("celtenc (CELT %s encoder)\n", CELT_VERSION); til

WinBUGS breaks under WINE > 1.1.12
Dear Wine-friends, I was wondering if any of you would have a clue around why WinBUGS (http://www.mrc-bsu.cam.ac.uk/bugs/), a nifty Markov chain Monte Carlo sampler widely used in Bayesian statistical modelling, no longer works when run through any version of WINE newer than 1.1.12. I have encountered this issue of my machines at home (which runs on Zenwalk 6.0) and work (Mandriva 2008.1) a

Another thing it might be nice to fix in CELT
Hi, Bjoern's solution of adding the line: #pragma intrinsic(_BitScanReverse) after the: # include<intrin.h> worked for me, so it solves my debug build problem. However, you still might want to change the location of ec_ilog's prototype in entcode.h for those platforms that don't have an intrinsic like that. Cheers, John Ridges

Ogg too good?
I'm just encoding some files with the latest ogg and it's too good. I tried encoding things at q1 just to see what happened and I couldn't hear the differencee between the ogg and the original files. Maybe it was the type of music I was encoding or limitations in my listening equipment or something but it seems pointless to have a scale from one to ten and have most of it unused.

Hey all. Two topics: First, I teach Computer Science at the high school level at a largish school near Austin, Texas. For the past several years there's been a "jukebox" in my room where students could vote for albums to hear during programming lab time, and random tracks off the winning albums play over the speakers in the classroom. Help with English Stars3
hello world I have a problem with the cd in question, which is a cd for the teaching of English with exercises and games. The video is very slow but the audio is fine then I do not think is a problem of memory or processor because all the minimum requirements are met. I think it is a problem of video libraries. Do give me advice on how to configure wine to use libraries or what? Thank you!! Ps:

Really small Linux and NAS
I have a really nice, old Libretto 110. Only 64Mb memory. I want to put Linux on it and have a network monitoring system and a traveling NAS. But all of the NASs have seemed to have grown beyond their original 64Mb size (FreeNAS now needs 128Mb). Only thing I have found is: http://www.linux-watch.com/news/NS8289526009.html Talking about Unbutu 6.0 and the 'Server' install that can

Quadraphonics
Over the weekend I chanced by the house of a quadraphile friend of mine to check it his SQ setup. For those interested, he has a fairly decent Kenwood linear turntable with what I understand is a rather pricy cartridge manufactured by some company whose name escapes me, hooked into a Fosgate Tate II SQ decoder which is likewise hooked into two X10-D buffers then finally into a Marantz receiver.
