Nut-upsuser Digest, Vol 153, Issue 13
maybe i have solved this issue, i unplugged APC BackUPS from USB 2.0 and
PLUGGED INTO USB 3.0 and now it works prefectly at first time without any
side effects,
strange, this shoud be working since USB 1.0
so ups driver is configured OK, this config works ok for backups, this looks
like there is no problem with detection of UPS but with
USB driver or something around so simply if somebody has

MGE Evolution, USB and linux
I have a MGE Evolution 3000 connected via USB to a linux server (HP
Proliant G3). The server is running kernel 2.4.30 and nut-2.0.3. But
before nut trying to connect to the UPS, I guess HID doesn't work as
long as I get a message like this in dmesg:

APC Smart-UPS 1200
Hi. Is the subject UPS model supported? I believe so, but I don't have a unit to test with. Any comments on this model? I'm trying to advise a colleague. Thank you, as always.

Unable to mount a USB DVD drive
I can't seem to get an external DVD drive to show up on an CentOS 7 server.
Wondering if it's just missing a driver or if I'm missing something
fundamental.
It's an external USB device that works fine on my Fedora 21 Laptop, but I never
get a /dev/ entry (EG: /dev/sr0) on the server.
What can I do to make this thing work?

Communications with UPS denchi@localhost lost
Hi,
I always had problems that my Smart-UPS 1500 had "hickups" with nut:
Connection would get lost, just to get restored seconds later again.
This resulted in annoying log entried and console messages but wasn't
too critical. For a few days, nut doesn't detect my UPS at all any more.
I get the console messages:
Broadcast message from nut at server (somewhere) (Tue Oct 29

APC SmartUPS 2200XL + UDEV + USB = tcgetattr : Invalid argument
I need direction. I don't know what to google for anymore. I am unable
to get my SmartUPS 2200XL to be recognized. My suspicions are that it's
UDEV or Kernel related. I've updated the kernel to the highest version
I feel comfortable with due to other things that run on the server, and
I've updated UDEV a bit too.
When I plug in the USB cable from the UPS into the server, I

Powerware 3105 - SuSE 10.0
Hi,
I'm trying to get a Powerware 3105 UPS working on SuSE 10.0. I have compiled
nut from the current Subversion repository. This UPS uses the bcmxcp_usb
driver.
I cannot get the driver to find the ups on the USB bus.
The error message I get is:-
