loop to subtract arrays / error
Hi everyone, I am having trouble with creating a loop to subtract arrays. In R, this is what I have done: > Vobsr <- read.csv("Observed_Flow.csv", header = TRUE, sep =",") # see data > below > Vsimr <- read.csv("1000Samples_Vsim.csv", header = TRUE, sep =",") # see > data below > Vobsr <- as.matrix(Vobsr[,-1]) # remove column 1 from

R ggplot2 legend text left justify
In ggplot2 how do you justify the legend text ? In the example below the opts(legend.text = theme_text(size = 9,hjust=0)) changes the size of the text OK but it remains right justified. > mydata=data.frame(RowID=c("A","B","C"),Name=c("long long long long long name","short name ","medium medium name"),Speed=c(100,140,120)) >

maptree package
Hello, I was using the functino kgs of maptree and I've realized maptree has been removed from CRAN repository. Anybody knows why has it been removed? or where can I find the function kgs that computes the Kelley-Gardner-Sutcliffe penalty function for a hierarchical cluster tree Thank you. data.frame-question]
First a general comment on posting style, could you please be more specific about where the error occurs as without this it is very difficult to identify what the problem is. Now concerning your problem. When I tried the code I posted yesterday I thought it worked fine. I've tried it again now and found that the data.frame TAB3 actually only has one column and the names "A",

ts and stl functions - still a problem
Hi I am still having problems with using the stl function, when I read the csv file into R into a file called tkr and use dim(tkr) the result is 132 1 which is fine. When coerce it into a trime series using ts either: tstkr <- ts(t(tkr), deltat=1/12) or tstkr <- ts(c(tkr), deltat=1/12) and use the stl function I get the following error: Error in

re: Samba PDC shared applications and a default start menu profile (Kevin S. Brackett)
Hi I'm currently doing exactly this for several sites. Within Win2K and above it is possible to configure Local Group Policy Objects, so that the ALLUSERPROFILES value is pointed to %LOGONSERVER%\Software\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu Thus when a user logs in, they see the the menus stored in their profile, overlayed by these on the Network Drives. The using the same

[<- and indexing for zoo objects
Hi I've been greatly enjoying the functionality the zoo package offers. However I've hit a snag with the following code > a <- zoo(matrix(1:10,5,2), 2001:2005) > a 2001 1 6 2002 2 7 2003 3 8 2004 4 9 2005 5 10 > a[I(2003), 2] 2003 8 > a[I(2003), 2] <- NA Error: subscript out of bounds > I've also tried > coredata(a[I(2003), 2])

r package to solve for Nash equilibrium
Is there an r package out there that solves for pure strategy* Nash equilibrium of a two-person game*? A search for Nash equilibrium in r provides a link to the *GNE* package which solves for the Generalized Nash equilibrium. But what I would like to solve is a pure strategy Nash equilibrium. Nash equilibrium and other game theory tools implemented in networks using igraph or similar
Why don't you implement and uplad the package to CRAN? Competing with one's own work (Prof. John C Nash)
John, thanks for starting (or restarting) this thread.? I'd like to add to the discussion with another concrete example, about as simple as it gets, which may help focus at least part of this discussion. I have worked with Taylor Arnold to implement a method developed in Conover (1972) for Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness-of-fit tests for discrete distributions (one-sample only).? We needed this

"Nash Equilibrium"
Dear R experts: I searched cran (and r-help) for "nash equilibrium" and "game" but nothing stuck out. has someone written a numerical nash optimizer for two players? player a has choices x1,x2,x3,... and cares about (maximizes) pa(x1,x2,x3,...,y1,y2,y3) player b has choices y1,y2,y3,..., and cares about (maximizes) pb(x1,x2,x3,...,y1,y2,y3) I can tune it to my problem, but

Nash equilibrium and other game theory tools implemented in networks using igraph or similar
Hello Chris, I was implying you are capable enough to implement it, while you have already identify a research paper. If there is no package out there, uploading to CRAN would help future user too. I am more than happy to help if you want to implement from scratch. Best, Mehmet On 27 June 2017 at 17:45, Chris Buddenhagen <cbuddenhagen at gmail.com> wrote: > Does anyone know of some

In what way does reminding people that packages exist because others just like them contributed something count as being uncivil? Terse, perhaps, since it bypassed the obvious suggestion to use a search engine, but not rude. -- Sent from my phone. Please excuse my brevity. There are many possible responses to the question "Is there a package to do X." Some that I can imagine are: * Yes, see package Y... * No, I am familiar with all 10000 packages and there isn't... * Silence (because no one who is paying attention is familiar with the one that exists) * Use a search engine... * You are a jerk because you did not use a search engine * Packages exist
