ALTREP: Bug reports
Hello,
I have encountered two bugs when using ALTREP APIs.
1. STDVEC_DATAPTR
>From RInternal.h file it has a comment:
/* ALTREP support */

However, this comment might not be true, the easiest way to verify it is to
define a C++ function:
void C_testFunc(SEXP a)

and call it in R via

ALTREP: Bug reports
Hello Luke and Gabriel,
Thank you very much for your quick responses. The explanation of STDVEC is
very helpful and I appreciate it! For the wrapper, I have a few new
questions.
1. Like Luke said a mutable object is not possible. However, I noticed that
there is one extra argument *deep* in the function duplicate. I've googled
all the available documentation for ALTREP but I did not find

DHCP with ipv6 tunnel
I'm completely confused here and I'm hoping someone here has a setup
they're willing to share, or help me configure things on my end.
My connectivity is through Comcast, who unfortunately, does not offer ipv6
in my area. My connection goes like this:
Comcast -> Motorola Surfboard Cable Router -> CentOS 6.5 server
The CentOS server is multi-homed and manages the internal

Help Getting Postfix relaying via Gmail
Hi,
I am trying to get a CentOS 6 system relaying mail via my G-Mail account.
I followed the instructions found at
https://www.zulius.com/how-to/set-up-postfix-with-a-remote-smtp-relay-host/but
there seems to be a problem with authentication. I have done some
research but still can't get this working. Any suggestions ? It seems the
user and password are correct.

strange system outage
I have a CentOS 7 system that I run a home grown python daemon on. I
run this same daemon on many other systems without any incident. On
this one system the daemon seems to die or be killed every day around
3:30am. There is nothing it its log or any system logs that tell me
why it dies. However in /var/log/messages every day I see something
like this:

frailty and time-dependent covariate
Hello,
I'm trying to estimate a cox model with a frailty variable and time-dependent covariate (below there is the statement I use and the error message). It's seems to be impossible, because every time I add the time-dependent covariate the model doesn't converge. Instead, if I estimate the same model without the time-dependent covariate it's converge. I'd like knowing if

Samba AD not resolving external names
I have just set up a new AD and am having a little success with it, but DNS
resolution is a little slow.
I'm looking into why that is and tried an ns lookup for google.com and got
the answer SERVFAIL on my AD server.
The query was then passed to my next nameserver (google's own dns), which
handled the query.
Is this correct behaviour? I've not seen SERVFAIL before

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Seh exceptions on Win64
Hi Chandler,
There were five SEH releated patches posted in two threads in the last days.
Two different patches in Martell e-mail starting this thread: the win64 seh
(llvm) and the register names
Three more related SEH patches in another thread: one for win64 seh clang,
one for MinGW toolchain and another for unreachable prologue.
To clarify and allow proper reviews for the different patches I

[LLVMdev] Regression testing on MSYS2 host with mingw-w64
Hi Yaron,
I know you sent me some emails before about regression testing on MSYS2
So you might have some idea about this
I am getting a regression error on check-llvm.
With the llvm/trunk/test/ExecutionEngine/Interpreter/intrinsics.ll

[LLVMdev] Regression testing on MSYS2 host with mingw-w64
This test results in UNSUPPORTED on my system, since config.enable_ffi =
"OFF". This is the result of LLVM_ENABLE_FFI which is OFF by default. Is it
turned ON in your build?
