configure: error: linking to Fortran libraries from C fails
Hi all,
Nice one for a Friday afternoon ...
I'm trying to follow this section of the manual :
http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/r-devel/R-exts.html#Using-Undefined-Behaviour-Sanitizer
to build R-devel (as of a few hours ago: rev 66684) with
-fsanitize=undefined,address.
My OS is Linux Mint Debian Edition. To get gcc-4.9 I added Debian
testing to my apt sources and ran :

[LLVMdev] pb05 benchmarks for llvm/dragonegg 3.2
Duncan,
With the commit from http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20121203/158488.html,
the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks complete again on x86_64-apple-darwin12. The result are similar to what
were seen with FSF gcc 4.6.2svn and llvm/dragonegg 3.0 (which was the last release that passed pb05)

[LLVMdev] Polyhedron 2005 results for dragonegg 3.3svn
Duncan,
With r182593, the dragonegg 3.3 branch now completely passes the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks
using the FSF gcc 4.8.1svn compiler. Thanks.

[LLVMdev] Polyhedron 2005 results for dragonegg 3.3svn
Below are the results for the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks compiled with llvm/compiler-rt/dragonegg 3.3svn at r182439 against current
FSF gcc 4.7.3svn and 4.8.1svn. The only major bug remaining in the dragonegg 3.3svn support for gcc 4.8.x is http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=15980
which results in unresolved symbols for _iround and _iroundf in the aermod and rnflow testcases. Note that this

Error when running configure on xeon with r-1-9-patched
Dear list,
I'm having a problem configuring R-1-9-patched on a Intel Xeon machine
running Fedora Core 2. I used svn to checkout the source, altered
config.site to add some optimisation flags to match the Fedora rpm on
CRAN (the flags work fine on two other P3 or P4 machines I've compiled R
on).
./configure fails with:

Compiling R as a shared library
Hi,
I am trying to compile R as a shared library (need to run RMAGEML,
which depends on SJava) on 64bit SUSE Linux 9.1 . I am using the
source code for R 2.0.1 (Nov 15 04)

results in several errors (selected errors below), and make check also
yields errors (at bottom) The errors

Build failure on powerpc64
An excellent question. It is important to remember two key facts:
1. With gcc on ppc64, long doubles exist, they can be used, just not safely
as constants (and maybe they still can be used safely under specific
conditions?).
2. I am not an expert in either PowerPC64 or gcc. :)
Looking at connections.c, we have (in order):

Shares are not listed (Access denied)
Good Morning,
I have almost the same problem.
When I use smbclient -U% -L server I get a share List and Server List
but instead of listing the shares it says "Error returning browse
list: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access Denied)".
Using the same smbclient command on the local server the shares will be
listed.
The users exist in the remote server and in the smbpasswd.
Anyone got an idea what

Ah, OK, I see - so I seem to have been wrong when assuming that I could

auth logging or auditing
Good morning!
I compiled samba 4.10.8 from source in a slackware 14.2 machine and imported a samba classic domain from an ldap backend. Everything works flawlessly except for a couple of user who are getting their accounts locked out periodically. I'm trying to debug this problem so I modified the smb.conf file of the DC so that it looks like this

Build failure on powerpc64
Hi R folks,
Went to build R 3.6.2 for Fedora/EPEL and got failures across the board.
Disabling the test suite for all non-intel architectures resolves most of
the failures, but powerpc64 dies in the compiler, specifically here:
gcc -m64 -I../../src/extra/xdr -I. -I../../src/include -I../../src/include
-I/usr/local/include -I../../src/nmath -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -fopenmp -fPIC
-O2 -g -pipe -Wall

frequent tdb corruption
Hi,
I'm seeing regular tdb corruption; typical log messages are:

tdb(/var/db/samba/connections.tdb): tdb_rec_read bad magic 0x0 at

tdb(/var/db/samba/locking.tdb): tdb_rec_read bad magic 0x42424242 at

which then prevents fileserving from working properly (N.B. the bad
