[OT] Suitable VPN RPM on centos 5?
I've noticed quite a few of these India consulting companies using the mailing lists to supplement their lack of internal skilled personnel. It really gives me pause when/if I need to consider outsourcing technology work. polr: attempt to find suitable starting values failed
Hi, I got a problem with polr function a bit. I have this error: attempt to find suitable starting values failed I wonder what would be an appropriate way to solve this problem? I can try to specify some random starting value but I am afraid that it will cause the MLE to stuck at some local maxima. Is there anyway to cope with this in a more elegant way? Any help would be really appreciated.

how many records for suitable regression
Dear community, I was wondering if it's possible to know if you have enough data for a regression study. I remember you must have more data than parameters to obtain, but I'd like to know if there was something more sophisticated. Thanks, user at host.com -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/how-many-records-for-suitable-regression-tp3331522p3331522.html

How&Why to factor a com32 module into suitable for dynamic linking?
It seems that the com32 module is a raw binary file without any control infomation. To factor it into suitable for dynamic linking, we need add some control sections, but can we still tell that file a com32 file ? why we use the elf file format directly? Thank you -- Ziyu Yu

[LLVMdev] benchmark suitable for testing the jit

But as I said it should consist of more than one big function :-). I want to benchmark a dynamic instrumentation framework and need something to compare it against the uninstrumented software.
