[PATCH] signal.h
This patch does two things.
This test program results (on i386) in an error about _NSIG:
#include <signal.h>
#if defined (SIGRTMAX)
int rtmax = SIGRTMAX;
#endif
The cause is that the kernel signal.h defines SIGRTMAX as _NSIG,
then makes _NSIG invisibelby hiding it inside ifdef __KERNEL__.
Perhaps it's more elegant to solve this in the kernel,
but the ramifications of that scare

[PATCH] Fix arm signals
Following example from usr/include/arch/i386/klibc/archsignal.h:
The in-kernel headers for arm still have libc5
crap in them. Reconsider using <asm/signal.h>
when/if it gets cleaned up; for now, duplicate
the definitions here.

[PATCH] add linux' arch/$ARCH/include to search path From: Marc Kleine-Budde <mkl@pengutronix.de> Date: Mon, 5 Jan 2009 17:46:47 +0100
with the recent move of the includes from linux'
include/asm-$ARCH to arch/$ARCH/asm, klibc fails to compile,
because the in-linux-header files include from asm/, but this
is not in the header search path.
e.g. against linux-2.6.27 arm:
arm-iwmmx-linux-gnueabi-gcc -Wp,-MD,usr/klibc/.vsnprintf.o.d -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -Iusr/include/arch/arm -Iusr/include/bits32

Segfault in Samba
Hi!
My Samba setup broke after upgrading Samba from 3.0.5-1 to 3.0.6-3 using
Debian apt-get upgrade. It seems to me, that the problems lies within
winbind. Any help would be appreciated!

multiple definition of `_start' when using -ld with klcc
Hi,
I am trying to setup an environment where I can build external projects against klibc. It works - except if I have a program that links to libc. Then I get a multiple definition of `_start' message. Here is a simple test case.
Jon
[ringlej at ringlejxbuild ~/temp/klibc-test]$ cat klibc-test.c
#include <stdio.h>
int main(void)
{
printf("hello world");

Fwd: Segfault in Samba
I have been forwarded this from one of our servers, which we have recently
( 2 days ) updated to Samba 3.0beta1 (Debian's 'unstable' package) from
Samba 2.2.8a
This is the second time it this happens in a period of 24h.
Everything else in this server is working fine. Any comment on this? Is
this a known limitation / situation ?
Thanks in advance.

Klibc 1.5.4 build issues
I'm working with klibc as a part of trying to port LTSP version 5 into
Red Hat 4 and 5. Red Hat does not appear to have a very good set of
utilities for playing in early userspace like LTSP's boot process
requires so I thought I would try klibc since I could then base my port
more closely on the Ubuntu/Debian work. Problem is I can't seem to get
klibc to build against the RHEL 4

[PATCH 2/2] ia64: Fix sigaction struct layout and function implementation
Commit 8418552 ("[klibc] ia64: Fix shared build") switched to the
function descriptor-less ABI. However, when passing a function pointer
to the kernel for signal handling, it always expects a descriptor, and
-mno-pic does not set any ELF flags that the kernel could detect. Thus
to fix this regression we must construct descriptors solely for passing
to/from the kernel.
Despite this,
