Hi, I'm trying to install MDAC 2.8 to run some Windows software on Wine. I'm using the latest release (1.3) and winetricks alpha on Linux Mint 10. After pointing it to mdac28, it throws this error message, "sha1sum mismatch, Rename /home/sol/.cache/winetricks/mdac28/MDAC_TYP.EXE and try again." I tried the obvious thing, renaming the file, which doesn't didn't help. I

Hi list, I am trying to install MDAC with Wine. I have installed cxoffice, and when I start the installation of MDAC, it tries to get the free space on the disk, but it doesn't proceed from there. MDAC is proving to be a pain for me to install. I have so far had nothing but failure. Here is a breakdown of what I'm working from. Has anyone had any luck running Microsoft Data Access Components? I've been able to install it without any trouble and I can get it to run after adding NDDEAPI.DLL to the system32 folder. When I try to add a Data Source things go wrong. I can get through most of the dialogs just fine. My servers and DBs are found, password is accepted and all looks well until I try to set the default DB.
