VP6 issues in Swfdec
Hi, I'm one of the Swfdec[1] Flash player developers. As you may be aware, Flash uses VP6 as a possible video decoder. Someone recently grabbed all of the videos at http://pown.alluc.org and threw them at ffmpeg. Surprisingly, lots of them killed the vp6 decoder and in turn my browser. I'll attached a series of patches for issues that I could fix myself, and point out issues I could not

Font metrics error
Wine spits out a buch of error messages of the form: fixme:font:LFD_InitFontInfo font '-monotype-times new roman-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-fcd8859-15' has unknown registry 'fcd8859' and character encoding '15' Is there a switch to get it forget about it's font server. I'm running batch mode programs so fonts are irrelevant. Thanks,

[LLVMdev] predicates and conditional execution
Hi, I was wondering if LLVM supports predicates and conditional execution. Something like we have in IA64. There is a register class of predicates and then every instruction may be predicated by a register from this class. For example: cmp_less p, x, y // p is a predicate which gets the result of x < y p add x, x, 2 // if p then do the add instruction Is there support in LLVM to something

Quagga on Xen - Latency / Bandwidth?
I was wondering if anyone is running Quagga on Xen? What is throughput/latency like? Was looking for about a gig of mixed packet size BGP throughput. Hardware is Opteron 4 Way Quad cores, was thinking paravirt with a couple of dedicated cores and maybe the addition of Solarflare 10GB Direct IO NICs might give the required performance level but I am unsure. The other option is multi-queue Intel

[PATCH] bios: Restrict missing fp table message to desktop cards.
A 2 minute google search shows that this error is prevalent with mobile Nvidia GPUs. Since we can assume mobile parts have no fp table, demote the error to desktop cards. Is it true that NeTraverse just went under? Does anyone know any details? Do they have and plans to put Win4Lin into the public domain so that the Linux community can continue to support it?

efficient code - yet another question
Dear list members; The code given below corresponds to the PCA-NIPALS (principal component analysis) algorithm adapted from the nipals function in the package chemometrics. The reason for using NIPALS instead of SVD is the ability of this algorithm to handle missing values, but that's a different story. I've been trying to find a way to improve (if possible) the efficiency of the code,

[PATCH 0/13] ocfs2: xattr bucket API
When the extended attribute namespace grows to a b-tree, the leaf clusters are organized by means of 'buckets'. Each bucket is 4K in size, regardless of blocksize. Thus, a bucket may be made of more than one block. fs/ocfs2/xattr.c has a nice little abstraction to wrap this, struct ocfs2_xattr_bucket. It contains a list of buffer_heads representing these blocks, and there is even an

[PATCH 1/1] ocfs2/xattr: Proper hash collision handle in bucket division.v3
Modification from V2 to V3: Use a more pefect code suggested by Joel. Thank Joel for it. In ocfs2/xattr, we must make sure the xattrs which have the same hash value exist in the same bucket so that the search schema can work. But in the old implementation, when we want to extend a bucket, we just move half number of xattrs to the new bucket. This works in most cases, but if we are lucky enough we
