round() doesn't (PR#1139)
R> round(100000/3, -2) - 33300
[1] -7.275958e-12
I would have hoped for 0. The problem seems to be specifically for negative
"digits". This is in 1.3.1 on Solaris 2.6 (full description at bottom).
[Apologies for making everyone read this 3 times; my bug.report() burped.]
Peter Dalgaard <p.dalgaard@biostat.ku.dk> says the problem is in fround.c,
which reads in part:

R-1.0.0 is released
I've rolled up R-1.0.0.tgz a short while ago.
You can get it from
ftp://cvs.r-project.org/pub/CRAN/src/base/R-1.0.0.tgz
or
http://cvs.r-project.org/pub/CRAN/src/base/R-1.0.0.tgz
or wait for it to be mirrored at a CRAN site near you within a day or
two. It should get to the CRAN master site within a few hours.
There's also a version split in three for floppies if you prefer
that.

Changes to TableGen in v4.0?
I am trying to upgrade to the LLVM v4.0 branch, but I am seeing failures in
my TableGen descriptions for conversion from FP32 to FP16 (scalar and
vector).
The patterns I have are along the lines of:
[(set (f16 RF16:$dst), (fround (f32 RF32:$src)))]
or:
[(set (v2f16 VF16:$dst), (fround (v2f32 VF32:$src)))]
and these now produce the errors:
error: In CONV_f32_f16: Type inference

GET DATA Returning only a single digit
--
jand. more than just a group
Asterisk AGI Command GET DATA is usually of this form
GET DATA timeout max_digits
When I execute this command, I get only a single digit, regardless of
what the value of max_digits is,
Also the script quits Immediately after the press of the digit
regardless of what the value of timeout is,
This is really un-desirable as I will like to GET multiple DTMF digits

model intended to predict crop yield from nutrient information, and want to
use the profile function. If I type say,

I get the following error message:
"Error in prof$getProfile(): number of iterations exceeded maximum of

I used the profiler function to profile simparj,fm step

X11 warnings about "wrong" font sizes (PR#840)
Hi. This is cosmetic in nature, yet annoying as the warning points
to the wrong source: On a screen running on an X server with 100 DPI,
I always got warnings about X11 using the wrong font size:
> x11()
Warning message:
X11 used font size 17 when 12 was requested
Then I looked at the code and X11 is _not_ to be blamed for this:
R resets the requested font size for 100 DPI screens! There

following the inferno directions verbatim will use 'cc' as the
compiler and just works.
