Re: [Omega-devel] StatDataML
Hi, I just had a very quick look at the StatDataML proposal --- nice work! At the risk of showing my ignorance, I want to mention my first impressions. My first impression is that defining datasets in terms of arrays and list is a bit too high a level. What about simpler vectors, scalars? (I know that R/S don't have scalars, but other systems/applications do.) Can we think of a core

Submission format for R Newsletter
Hi, Sorry for responding so late, but I've been in meetings all day long. The decision to ask for latex articles was deliberate, because I've to deal with MS-Word files from time to time and know of no clean way of converting it to Latex without a lot of manual intervention (and the newsletter itself will be produced in latex). We will make a template for articles available together with

segmentation fault in integrate (PR#812)
I tried to integrate numerically a function wich is similar to the following: > dummy <- function(x) { exp(-1*x) * dnorm(x) } > dummy(-100) [1] 0 > dummy(-1000) [1] NaN > dummy(-10000) [1] NaN If I choose the lower boundary to be too small integrate causes a segmentation fault: > library(integrate) > integrate(dummy, -100, 0)$value [1] 1.387143 > integrate(dummy, -1000,

new package 'strucchange'
There is a new package in the devel-section of CRAN called 'strucchange' providing functions for testing on structural change in linear regression relationships. It features tests/methods from the generalized fluctuation test framework as well as from the F test (Chow test) framework. This includes methods to fit, plot and test fluctuation processes (e.g., CUSUM, MOSUM, recursive/moving

getent passwd not showing domain users at boot

Can't get 'root preexec' to run
You tried the pam module mkhomedir ? And have your tried : root preexec = "/usr/local/samba/scripts/createzfshome.sh %U" or root preexec = /usr/local/samba/scripts/createzfshome.sh "%U" Is the homedir on a NFS mounted dir? Exports correctly set? Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Namens Ole

[LLVMdev] Unnatural loops with O0
I am reviving this thread because I am seeing the same thing (unnatural loops produced by llvm-gcc), but it is not limited to -O0 -- I am seeing it for -O2 and -O3 as well. Some of my research work is relying on LoopInfo to provide loop information for all loops, but it is missing these loops. Is there any work in the pipeline that aims to fix this? Many thanks, Marc On Sat, Jun 21, 2008 at
