R-Forge?
Hello! I have recently found RForge.net (http://www.rforge.net/) by Simon Urbanek and found out today that the site is accepting subscriptions. Great! However, browsing a bit on the site I found a link to another forge: R-Forge (http://r-forge.r-project.org/). Is/will the last one be the "offcial" forge for R packages, given that it has domain r-project.org? Regards, Gregor

Problems after upgrading from 1.0.7 to 1.0.8
A gentoo based server running running tinc for years serving some dozens clients has problems after upgradng from 1.0.7 to 1.0.8 using official gentoo ebuilds. The clienst are running linux and windows with different version of tinc. The clients still get a connect but sending data results in just no answer from the (updated) server side. The server log shows this for an example (IP changed):

AOCD -> SendText()?
Hiya, i've just noticed that chan_misdn writes the AOCD information into a logfile. Has someone done a patch that sends this information via sendtext() to the active channel? At least some phones (like Cisco with chan_sccp and the snom-phones with SIP) can show this information on the display, what is kinda the idea with AOCD ;-) Regards, Andeas

Samba, Debian and upgrade path...
Yesterday, after a long run, i've finally upgraded my DCs to stretch/samba4.9, using Louis repos. Hurrah! ;-) Looking forward, eg: http://apt.van-belle.nl/debian/dists/ seems to me that i can advance to 4.10 in stretch, but to go further i need buster (probably because of python deps, right?). Louis, i think we need a matrix of debian-samba compatibility... ;-) -- dott. Marco Gaiarin

OT: really dumb question about APC UPS
We have about 4 servers connected to an APC UPS. The UPS only has one UPS connection. So my question is, in a power outage how do i get all my servers to safely shutdown? Do i run a USB hub? Do i write a script on the one machine connected to turn off all the other machines? I'm confused. Jamie

APC SMC1500 question
Hello mailing List. I manage 2 UPS via NUT, an APC Smart-UPS_1500 and an ?EATON 5S 1500. I can get load information on the EATON but not on the APC. Actually upsc doesn?t give much information on the APC. Does someone know whether this is a driver limitation or a configuration issue ? Many thanks for your views. Laurent PS: my goal is to monitor the UPS and raise alarms if upsc detects

Apparently, ups.load is not one of them. Your UPS might

Sirrix PC140 Quad card
Hi, I have just installed a Sirrux PC140 card for the first time. Managed to build the drivers and get * to load them on FC4, but it does not work. It seems that layer1 in the ISDN is not even activated. The same ISDN lines connected to a Samsung DCS works so it is not the lines. I am including my sirrix.conf and the output of some of the * Srx commands below. Any pointers would be

APC Smart-ups "status codes" (slightly OT)
We got replacement battery "kits" for some of our APC UPS' (Smart-UPS, rackmount). I put them into one tray (it's for an RBC 43, which takes 8, and weighs a ton), and put it in, and let it charge. Idiot "change battery" led stays on. So I hit the test button, it discharges very rapidly (a good number of servers on this), and the led stays on. For some reason,

New APC "SMT" UPSes support MODBUS, will there be support in NUT?
Hi All, About a month ago APC announced they were including MODBUS protocol support in their new APC UPSes. Hi Roger, Thank you for your advise. I tried driver = apcupsd port = auto But unfortunately I get the same error message ?Failed to execute command ?upsc 'ups' 2>&1': Error: Driver not connected" As I am not very good in using OMV, maybe there is something else I should do?
