Patch for wxControl.h
Hello all. This gets past the problem in bigdemo where it won''t start
the application at all. That was where it was overflowing the stack on
get_label.

controls within a wxTreeCtrl
What I''d like to be able to do is use a wxTreeCtrl to manage a tree layout
of not only text, but several buttons which would line up adjacent to the
text in the tree items. I''ve googled around a bit on this and it doesn''t
seem straightforward, if it is possible at all.
Can anyone provide any pointers for attempting this?
In a simple ASCI schematic, it would be like

TreeCtrl update
The previous TreeCtrl.i was very messy and just plain wrong, for
instance it had GetFirstChild as depreciated when in fact only 1
version of it was depreciated not both.
I changed GetFirstChild and GetNextChild to return an array of values
to match the wxPython and wxPerl usage.
I also noticed that wxTreeCtrl is inherited from wxControl on Windows
and wxScrolledWindow on everything else so I #if

wxTreeCtrl.patch
Attached is a patch that fixes a crash out of the bigdemo when you click
into the tree control. I added in the missing single-argument version
of HitTest. Why WX has a single argument version of HitTest only for
the tree control, I''ll never know.

What do you think about adding a shebang line to the samples so they can
be launched on linux/mac like you can on windows?

common.i patch
The latest cvs version of SWIG breaks a few things. I have patched
common.i to fix most of it. There will be some other things later that
should be compatible with all versions. Can someone test to see if this
compiles with the old version?

wx/wx.h
We include wx/wx.h in a lot of places. It seems from a (very) cursory
examination that the current method is to include wx/wxprec.h. Seems to
work fine including wx/wx.h so this may be entirely a non-issue. Does
anyone have any feelings on this?

patch to wxCheckListBox.h
size_t GetItemHeight() const is not part of the standard interface for
this class. On Mac OS X for instance it is not defined. So it needs to
be removed.
This is why us developers should download the complete wxWidgets
distribution that has all the headers for each platform so we can
cross check when adding features, this is what I do.

Update on SWIG
SWIG 1.3.29 isn''t going to cut it for us. We''ll have to wait until
1.3.30, unless I can hack together a nasty workaround for a problem with
the object tracking. It seem that each SWIG module gets its own hash
for tracking objects. This means that, for example, you create a find
dialog (in FindReplaceDialog.cpp) events you get from it (from
FindDialogEvent.cpp)

[Fwd: [ wxruby-Bugs-6144 ] error: cast from ‘void*’ to ‘int’ loses precision]
I think we can mark this bug closed and check in the patch. Anyone have
any concerns/questions before I do?

wxLayoutContraints.h
The file swig/classes/includes/wxLayoutConstraints.h may need to be
updated. It''s missing centreX and centreY from the list of
wxIndividualLayoutConstraints.
I''d send a patch in but I''m wondering if this file just needs to be
regenerated from scratch.

Patch for Unicode on windows
This patch makes Unicode the default build for windows. You can
override the default by setting a WXRUBY_NO_UNICODE environment variable.

Patch to the notebook example to remove the call to the deprecated
NotebookSizer. It appears to work just fine without the sizer.

Listbook patch
Small patch to correct spelling of lemonade. Should ask Sean if he
really wanted it to be lemonaid. If not, here''s the patch.
On another note... This sample works! Kudos. It is odd that the
textbox doesn''t scroll. I suppose I may patch that, too.

wxColourDatabase.h
This patch just fixes the ColourDatabase prototypes. I may expose this
so we can add colours to the database. Anyone else if free to take a
stab at it. I suggest we just expose the global ''TheColourDatabase'' off Wx.

wxSingleChoiceDialog.h
Attached is a patch to wxSingleChoiceDialog.h. I replaced the
constructor with one that used an array of strings and swig properly
generates the interface now. I tried adding a header file for
wxMultiChoiceSelection but it just does not work correctly. It always
returns with 0 items selected. I will delve into this further tomorrow,
perhaps. In any case, wxMultipleChoiceDialog.h should

ColourDialog
The ColourDialog (Darn Brits messing up the spellings of perfectly good
words!) has a weird behavior. When you first open it you can''t select a
color from the ''rainbow'' on the right side until you select a basic
color on the left. I don''t think this was the case before we did the
big inheritance change. Does anyone else remember if it worked properly

Patch to wxMDIParentFrame.h
This patch file will allow the MDI example to run. We''ll need to
revisit it later. There''s still a crash but it''s the same crash as from
the scrolled window example. I''ll send a patch later that fixes the
problem with DrawLines.

Re: Problem building wxRuby: htmlproc.h not found
Hi,
Has this problem been resolved?
I encountered the same problem on my FC3 system with wxGTK-2.4.2 and
wxruby-0.6.
Thanks.
