doc generator now in CVS
Hi
Just a quick note to let you know that the Textile doc generation stuff
is now in CVS. There is a moderate amount of documentation in
rake/rakedoc.rb in case you feel like generating your own local copy.
The only prerequisite is the Ruby ''redcloth'' library.
There''s also some info in doc/lib which might be some help if you want
to tweak the output.
cheers

install problem
I''m having a problem getting wxruby2-preview working on my Linux system.
I loaded wxruby via a gem install and that seemed to go OK. Added
RUBYOPT=-rubygems to /etc/environment file and set it at the command
prompt and still I get the following when I try to run minimal.rb:
[root@www minimal]# ruby -rubygems minimal.rb

Gem testing
Hi all,
First off sorry for the lengthy email but I typed it as I went along.
I just tried to start a bit of testing of the binary Linux gem (Kevin
sent me a link) and I quickly ran into a problem:

Volunteer requested: Implement SplitterWindow
About a year ago (ouch!), Robert Carlin submitted a ported version of
the wxPython demo/sample. I hoped to include it in wxruby2, but it
relies on SplitterWindow, which isn''t in wxruby2 yet.
I tried to implement SplitterWindow myself, but got such strange results
that I''m thinking I did something wrong. Even though the generated C++
code specified a variable number of

Compiling on Ubuntu
I see several shortcomings in our current method of compiling on linux.
Some things I ran in to which might need to be documented on the wiki:
1) Compiling wx properly. A little discussion of the proper flags
would be helpful.
2) The use of system libraries for jpeg, tiff and png. The rake file
assumes you''ll need these, even if you''re using the builtins from wx.

Hi there,
I am relative new to the wxRuby so please bear with me.
I use Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 release. I have installed the wxwidgets C
libraries
and then did a
gem install wxruby
The ruby extensions were downloaded and installed correctly. If i do
$gem list --local

wxDebug
For debug builds we define __WXDEBUG__ and WXDEBUG=1. In the swig code
we add a check for wxDEBUG to directors. My guess is we mean for one of
those defines to be the other. Which one should we change? wxDEBUG->
WXDEBUG or WXDEBUG-> wxDebug?

1.9.2, OpenGL
[third sending attempt...]
I''m going to try and test out the samples on MSW over the next few days
and if things look good I think we should release 1.9.2. Might try and
fix the bugs related to TreeCtrl#get_first_child as these might involve
minor API changes. So if anyone has any time to test out SVN HEAD and
look for anything funny, please do.
Also, we have an anonymous patch

Compiling WxRuby2 on Ubuntu 6.06
Hi All,
I am trying to compile WxRuby on Ubuntu 6.06. I checked out the latest

1.9.4 released
Hi
Just a quick note to say we released a new version, 1.9.4. The main
purpose of this release is to offer an OS X gem that''s compatible with
both 10.4 and 10.5 - The wxruby-1.9.3 OS X binary gem would only work
with version 10.5 (Leopard).
Version 1.9.4 also includes a couple of other minor fixes and
enhancements, including

wxRuby 1.9.9 released
Hello
I''m happy to announce that wxRuby version 1.9.9 is now available for
download and gem installation:
http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=35&release_id=27842
gem install wxruby
On Linux, the default binary gem is now dynamically linked to wxWidgets.
This means you''ll need to install wxWidgets from your package manager.

wxruby2 retooling
I finally gave up on swig 1.3.22, since it seems to be causing too many
problems. Ubuntu breezy will have 1.3.24, so I''m retargeting wxruby2 to
swig 1.3.24+. At the moment, I have 1.3.25 on my system, since that''s
the current release.
I''m finding all kinds of problems with the post-processors we have that
clean up the .cpp files that swig creates. The
