Samba 4 AD DC 100% cpu process issues.
Hello,
We had a bad experience with Samba 4 AD DC on FreeBSD 9.2 Release
recently that I thought I would share on this mailing list. As a result
of this experience we were forced to downgrade back to Samba 3.5 for
stability. We performed initial tests on Samba 4 and found it
adequate. But, once we brought it up for production, we noticed a deal
breaking issue. When browsing a share, 90%

Quick analysis of 'Broken pipe' error at io.c(463)
This one has been biting me recently, and it seems to be completely
deterministic: it utterly fails on most directories, but when it fails
on one, it does so reproducibly. Also, I'm doing a simple copy from one
directory on my machine to another - there is no remote server or
network to fail. The drive is only 24% full.
Here's my take on it:
1) The error is printed as occurring in

Generate the message earlier in the login process and store for display after
session startup?
Rather than another variable for this (eg aixloginmsg, maybe __pam_msg), what
about using a single Buffer for storing all of the messages to be displayed
after login?

RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 6, Issue 463
Folks,
Eric is spot-on--both phones are happy with the modified
${CALLERIDNAME} value since I removed the quotes in the call to
SetCIDName(). I've replace my calls to SetCallerID() since I think using
SetCIDName() is cleaner.
Cheers,
Rob

error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(463) on HP-UX 11.23
Hello,
We discovered a slight problem with rsync 2.6.8 on HP-UX 11.23 on Itanium2.
When trying to get a directory listing via:
# oracle@DEV1[]:/~ > rsync dev1::deploy
drwxr-xr-x 96 2006/09/06 12:57:36 .
drwxrwxrwx 96 2006/09/11 15:35:33 test
# ...
it works flawlessly, but when trying to get a subdirectory we get the
following error:
# DEV1:/etc# rsync dev1::deploy/test

I've had a look at the OpenBSD source and I don't think OpenBSD *needs* a
"Buffer loginmsg" right now. PrintLastLog can be easily fixed by updating
s->last_login_time before the privsep split.
So, is there another reason OpenBSD needs (or
