hsv2rgb in R
I noted that there is a hsv2rgb in the C-API, but no corresponding function in
R, while rgb2hsv is available in R.
Does the functionality of hsv2rgb hide under some other name?

defines in Rmath.h and R_NO_REMAP
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hi,
I'm programming with R 2.7.2 and had some trouble including
Rmath.h for its random variates generation routines: Although
I define R_NO_REMAP (which works fine for Rinternals.h stuff),
Rmath.h defines "beta" as "Rf_beta" etc., so that my "beta" strings
get redefined as well! Is this a feature?

initialize expression in 'quasi' (PR#8486)
This is not so much a bug as an infelicity in the code that can easily
be fixed.
The initialize expression in the quasi family function is, (uniformly
for all links and all variance functions):
initialize <- expression({
n <- rep.int(1, nobs)
mustart <- y + 0.1 * (y == 0)
})
This is inappropriate (and often fails) for variance function
"mu(1-mu)".

C function calling in R
Dear all,
I have a problem in calling my C code from R. If I do not need to use

R-functions in C-Code
Dear R users,
I would like to use several R functions from a C-code and I have read the "Introduction to the .C Interface to R". Unfortunately, my shared library with the C-code works only in cases where I use R-routines that are defined Rmath.h, eg.

rgamma function
Hi,
Has anyone encountered the problem of rgamma function in C? The
following simplified program always dies for me, and I wonder if anyone
can tell me the reason.

#include <time.h>
#include <Rinternals.h>
SEXP generateGamma ()
{
srand(time(NULL));
return (rgamma(5000,1));
}
Has anyone encountered a similar problem before? Is there another way

minor problem in XML package
[The package XML is labelled ORPHANED and a comment says the CRAN team
maintains it. I am not sure what address to send this to.]
In package XML version 3.98.1.11, RUtils.c registers the C function
RS_XML_xmlNodeChildrenReferences twice. The registration information is
identical but this could cause maintenance problems if the routine were
changed.

Change in NA_REAL behavior (PR#1886)
Full_Name: David Larsen
Version: 1.5.1
OS: Redhat 7.2, w98, w2000
Submission from: (NULL) (128.206.66.65)
I have c code that produces vector sequences for plotting. I use NA_REAL to
create an NA that will pass back to R to break the line. This code worked fine
upto R-1.5.0 It continues to work on Redhat7.2 Linux but on both windows98 and
windows2000 the NA_REAL returns -6.623485e-229 on both

La_svd compiler error
Dear All,
I have been trying to compile a package for windows that we have written. Since R version 3.0.0 the package doesn't compile any more. (On Linux the package compiles without errors).
The error specifically says:

uninitialised value in R (PR#13476)
Hi,
I get an "Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialised value(s)"
from valgrind when using 'solve' in combination with some simple
C-code. (I did not use other functions of R besides 'solve'.)
In detail: running
R --vanilla -d "valgrind --tool=memcheck --memcheck:leak-check=yes
--num-callers=20 "
and calling
.Call("XXX")

Hi all,
I have a problem but i am not sure that this is the right mailing list.
I'm writing a R program which call a C++ program, through the function .Call. I use to compile the c++ script with the command
R CMD SHLIB SpTempWrapC.cpp -Wall -l covmodel.h -l util.h
Everything works fine since, for mistake, i paste in the terminal the content of the r-script. Now, when i try to compile,

I am new to this area and use Rcpp to call C++ from R and try to build the

R Include File Guards
R 2.1.0/src/include from 2005/04/18 download
Naming inconsistent for guards as well but that's pedantic.
Simple convention:
file <foo.h>
#ifndef R_FOO_H
file <R_ext/bar.h>
#ifndef R_EXT_BAR_H
Missing guards:
<IOStuff.h>
<Internal.h>
<Parse.h>
<R_ext/GraphicsBase.h>
<R_ext/GraphicsDevice.h>
<R_ext/GraphicsEngine.h>

pchisq error
Dear R experts,
I'm trying to call 'pchisq' from within a C subroutine. The following
error is returned:
** NON-convergence in pgamma()'s pd_lower_cf() f= nan.
This error message is not printed the first time I call 'pchisq' from
the C subroutine, but the second time or the next time I call 'pchisq'
from within R.
My session output is shown below:

plot.table() ?
I tend to use table() quite a bit for quick "diagnostics", summary, etc.
I have wished for a more automatic way of plotting these.
One possibility would be something like the following function;
The question is if (something like) the following is worth providing (and then
maintaining...) at all :
plot.table <- function(x, type = "h", ylim = c(0, max(x)), lwd = 2,
