Is there a way to nice the IO on a process such as dd? If not, what could be a way to control the IO level of such a process from bogging down a server to severely. Thanks, jlc

Hi, I've installed CentOS 5 on a Dell pe1950 with 2 dual port NICS. One of the NIC is an Intel and use the e1000 module. The problem is when the server is rebooted it does no asign the ethx name to the NICs, instead the so assign something like _dev377362... so i dont have networking on the server. Hey guys, I am trying to diagnose a hum in my FXO lines I am using an Adtran 750 with 8 FXO ports. I am getting a pretty bad hum on the line during a call.
