Questions on build farm
Hi all, I've been looking at the samba build farm code and hope you can help with a couple questions... First, is the build_farm code usable under an open source license? Second, does the build_farm currently run any network tests between a client and server on separate machines? Thanks, Bryce

Client/server test harness - Crucible 1.6
Hi all, At OLS last month I presented about doing automated client/server testing of NFSv4. In and after that talk there was some discussion with Steve French about using the same framework for testing Samba, so I thought it might be worthwhile to post about the framework on this list. We've also just put out a new 1.6 release of Crucible; I've attached the release notice below. The

Are you still setting LIBRARY_PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH, as mentioned in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/binutils/+bug/738098 ? Thanks, Jay.

Running Modern Warfare 2 on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty.
My hardware is Intel Core i7 4GB ram, Nvidea GeForce 310m graphics card. I installed my graphics drivers in Ubuntu 11.04 using the recommended techniques. My video drivers are noted as experimental however all features and 3D support is working in Ubuntu 11.04 gnome environment. I did not use the .run file downloadable from the Nvidea website. I have read the sticky about no sound. I have no sound

Ubuntu Natty / WINE / iTunes, uninstall
Hi all, I installed Ubuntu Natty Narwahl ,then WINE and finally iTunes (using WINE) but have found iTunes is simply too slow and many features don't work as they should. So I've decided to do away with iTunes and just stick to one of the Linux players. However, whenever I use the WINE uninstaller, the progress window says the operation completed but the iTunes (and Bonjour, etc) names,

Portal + Intel HD Graphics 3000 + Ubuntu Natty
I just set up my new Lenovo ThinkPad X220 for use with Ubuntu Natty. All is well (even the function keys work!) except for 3D games. I'm not asking a lot here - these are games that are supposed to run at least decently on a HD 3000 accelerator. So far I've tried Amnesia: The Dark Descent, it's Linux-native demo, and Portal. ADD loads to it's menu, but nothing (like 3D

Bryce 5.5 once ran, before update.
In the application database, there is a revue according to which Bryce 5.5 does not run under WINE. But not having looked at the AppDB first, I went ahead and installed Bryce 5.5 some months ago, which ran fine under WINE 0.9.44 or some such version... Here is an old screenshot of the app, which has been used to render a tree on the Linux Box. (Kanotix 2006-RC4) [Image:

trouble compiling and running wine 64-bit on Ubuntu Natty Studio
Hi. I have downloaded the git, compiled and installed wine as 64-bit. My main executables are /usr/local/bin/wine64 and wine64-preloader But I can't run anything. A "wine" command tells me wine isn't installed, which I guess it isn't, and "wine64" gives me a segmentation fault. Do I need a symlink? ubuntu$ wine notepad The program 'wine' can be found in

Fleming-Harrington weighted log rank test
Hi all,? The survdiff() from survival package has an argument "rho" that implements Fleming-Harrington weighted long rank test.? But according to several sources including "survminer" package (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/survminer/vignettes/Specifiying_weights_in_log-rank_comparisons.html), Fleming-Harrington weighted log-rank test should have 2 parameters

0.9.60 Still doesn't do Bryce 5.5 correctly.
Just a few weeks ago, I reported a regression according to which Bryce 5.5 would at least display its application window correctly, until WINE v0.9.56 came along. Next, I posted here hoping that WINE developers would at least test Bryce themselves, to try working on this bug. And to that end, I had given a URL here, from which the application can be downloaded for free. It was due to my own
