[LLVMdev] Size of structs & arrays
I'm trying to work out the size of a struct so that I can pass this to the 'llvm.memcpy' intrinsic. It's easy to find out how I'm supposed to do this, as I keep seeing the following: %Size = getelementptr %T* null, int 1 %SizeI = cast %T* %Size to uint But I'm unsure how I actually do this in the C++ API. Is the 'null' here a llvm::ConstantPointerNull? Any help

[PATCH v3] PCI: Use ioremap(), not phys_to_virt() for platform ROM
On some EFI systems, the video BIOS is provided by the EFI firmware. The boot stub code stores the physical address of the ROM image in pdev->rom. Currently we attempt to access this pointer using phys_to_virt(), which doesn't work with CONFIG_HIGHMEM. On these systems, attempting to load the radeon module on a x86_32 kernel can result in the following: BUG: unable to handle page

[PATCH -v2] btrfs: Use correct values when updating inode i_size on fallocate
Even though we allocate more, we should be updating inode i_size as per the arguments passed Signed-off-by: Aneesh Kumar K.V <aneesh.kumar@linux.vnet.ibm.com> --- Changes from V1: We should update i_size only if actual_len and cur_offset are both larger than i_size. Otherwise if actual_len is < i_size and cur_offset > i_size we may end up setting wrong i_size value

[PATCH 7/8] Make fallocate(2) more ENOSPC friendly
fallocate(2) may allocate large number of file extents, so it''s not good to do it in a single transaction. This patch make fallocate(2) start a new transaction for each file extents it allocates. Samba is still crashing
I have had a problem for a couple of weeks now. I get very regular crashes on two of my three Domain Controllers. I just updated to 4.1.0 and I am still getting the same problem. I have added panic action = /bin/sleep 99999 to my config. Here is a back trace for the crash. (gdb) bt #0 0x003c3424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb76fa363 in __waitpid_nocancel () at

Samba crash
Hi Amir, this is a known and fixed issue in Samba 3.6.6. It was known as Bug 9004 https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9004 and has been fixed by o Andreas Schneider <asn at samba.org> * BUG 8944 and 8567: Don't lookup the system user in pdb. Do you need a patch for 3.6.1? As far as I know (I would need to test it) with this patch Samba logs that the configured guest user

samba 4.1.3 -- multiple bugs & 1, 297 coredumps -- coredump backtrace + full-backtrace included
Hello, A few months ago the distribution I use (Debian Testing) moved from Samba 3 to Samba 4 - I started seeing a lot of problems. Since then there are two bugs I find occurring on a regular basis: 1. Consistent dumping core on a regular basis (very rarely, if ever occurred with Samba 3) a. $ ls -ltr *core*smbd* |wc -l b. 1297 c. $ du -ach *core*smbd*|tail -n 1

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: don't hold spin lock while calling kzalloc with GFP_KERNEL
- 'joi' on irc pointed out that this triggers a BUG_ON, because kzalloc could sleep. - The irq handler should restore the value NV03_PFIFO_CACHES, but still it's better if this stuff doesn't happen in the middle of fifo create context. I see no reason in spin locking pgraph create context, it isn't activated at that stage. - Move and rename the lock after some discussion with

Panic or segfault in Samba 3.6.1 - Debian testing
Since upgrading to 3.6.1 in Debian testing, I receive a panic/segfault message with each print job. Printing succeeds and continues to work, but an email with the info below is sent each time. The system is standalone. Kernel is 3.1.0-1-686-pae, and the system is fully updated. testparm returns no errors. Does this mean anything to anyone? Dale [Thread debugging using libthread_db
