count number of groups
Hello, Simple question that I am stuck on and can't seem to find an answer in the help files currently. I have a list which contains repeated ID's. I would like to have R count the number of ID's. Merge matrices with different column names

Generic question... I am familiar with generic power calculations in R, however a lot of the data I primarily work with is multivariate. CentOS 4.2 Install - Can't Surf Web
I just installed CentOS 4.2 on a system that was running RedHat 9. Now the browser (Mozilla Firefox) can't connect to web sites via their name (www.google.com <http://www.google.com/> ). It can however connect if the IP address is used (66.102.7.147). Also the 'dig' command times out with either the name or the IP address. Has anyone else seen this? Any pointers would be

renumber a list of numbers

Kaplan Meier Post Hoc?

LANG=en_US, Xlib: connnection errors
This is odd but I'm trying to get the most elementary sides of WINE down. I have gotten it to attempt to run write.exe out of my windows directory. but upon doing so it comes up with the LANG errors which I don't think is catastrophic. queries for a set of values
I probably should've used boolean terms in addition to numeric values when indexing, but currently I have a set of numeric values[1] and trying to avoid having to reindex ~250GB DBs (and asking numerous users to do the same). Say I have a bunch of values which I want to filter a query against. If I had boolean terms, it could just OP_OR against the whole set. IOW, this is what notmuch does
