cptime/memdisk block size
Is there any documentation available about what block size MEMDISK uses
to load (big iso/harddisk) image files?
Experimenting with cptime.c32 on a Lexar Triton Jumpdrive (64GB, 170MB/s
read in Windows, 150MB/s write in Windows) on bootable USB3.0 resulted
in the following, depending on specified block size:
* 2048 bytes --> 25MB/s
* 2MB --> 61MB/s
It would be nice to know at which speed

sample and rearrange
Dear Wu Gong and Peter Ehlers,
thank you very much for your help debugging my script.
Now I have a general following up question:
Is there a straightforward way to rearrange the following dataset so
that all first letters of each column will be combined in one column,
all the second letters in a second column, all the third ones in a
third column and so on, resulting in 7 columns,
i.e. for

CTDB: Clustered NFS, reboot, requires me to exportfs -r(a)
Hi Samba,
I hope you are doing well. I run a cifs / nfs CTDB clustered NAS
solution, and I find that when I reboot any of the nodes in the cluster,
I must re-export the nfs mounts so they show up properly. Perhaps this
is a general linux nfs bug and I am barking up the wrong tree, but I
haven't found any problem / solution mentioning this as of yet besides
my own known workaround

Did i get hacked?
hello,
i have a FreeBSD 4.8-PRERELEASE #0 that i use as a gateway / nat box for
my home.
It also acts as a dns / mail server to the outside world.
I'm using ipf and basically filter for bogus networks on the way in and out.
I allow everything out keeping state,

IAX2 softphones can't (won't?) use PRI trunks....
I have call center PCs that switch between an IBEAM SIP softphone and a NEBU IAX softphone (for reasons
that aren't germane here). The SIP softphones work fine, but the IAX softphones get a fast busy unless I give
them an IAX trunk to use, instead of the PRI trunks that all the other phones are using. I am using Asterisk 1.2.3.

I've appended a sample call trace. The

if i were to have a block size of 4 people and i want to assign a treatment

i am trying to get all 16 permutations and i am able to use this code below.

Test Line
Hi,
Somewhere in the Wiki I read that the best way to adjust the rxgain and
txgain is to dial a "type 102 milliwatt test line".
This line is usually found in xxx-958-nnnn or xxx-959-nnnn ranges.
I'm in area code 323 in Los Angeles.
Does anybody know the test number here??
Thanks,

nmblookup receives response, but doesn't show it
Hi folks,
I find that nmblookup seems to be receiving
responses to name queries, but ignoring them. Here's what's
happening:
# nmblookup somehost
querying somehost on x.y.255.255
name_query failed to find name somehost
But watching the transaction with ethereal on the local
host, I see that:
1. nmblookup on local udp port nnnn (some random number above 1024)
sends an nbns

problems with usb stick after suspend and wake up
Dear all,
(please Cc)
I am running latest kernel (3.17-rc6) and I see corruption of an usb3.0
device usb stick. Strange errors, impossibility to mount.
Repeated unplugging and replugging helps sometimes, in all cases
recovery is necessary.
Is this a know problem, a problem of my system

memdisk and floppy controllers
Hi,
just tried memdisk - it works, even with token-ring network cards!
I've some problems with dos 6.22 on one machine, though. This one
doesn't have a floppy controller (e.g. linux reports that it didn't
find any controller). The Dos 6.22 boot disk is loaded, then the boot
sector is started and tells me that it can't load the system

pid-provider sees ld.so.1 only
I''m trying to do some userspace tracing on a server-process with the pid provider.
My problem is, that the only probes the pid-provider lists for the server-process (to which I attach dtrace with "-p nnnn") are coming from "ld.so.1".
There''s not a single one from my modules.
If I''m specifying "a.out" (or any of our shared-objects) as the

Planning Asterisk
Hello,
I'm planning to convert my phone system to Asterisk, as I've outgrown my
TalkSwitch system. I have a few questions for experienced * users, most
of which can be answered yes/no.
Current Setup:
- Talkswitch 48NLS (4CO/8Ext) phone system.
- One CO line, two Vonage lines, one Voicepulse line connected to phone
system
- A third Vonage line directly connected to a fax machine
- A
