yum update problem - dependancy problem
You have a conflicting package installed from repository @atrpms. You need to remove that package and/or disable that repository to get past the dependency issue. 'Skip broken' is not going to handle this situation nor will any other set of yum options. [supermin PATCH] rpm: check for SQLite-based RPM DB
Fedora 33 switched the DB of RPM to SQLite, so no more Packages/Name/etc files. Because any missing file exception is ignored when checking for --if-newer, the lack of the Package files was not properly noticed, so the appliance was always considered out out date. Check for the SQLite-based DB first, falling back to the old format. Signed-off-by: Pino Toscano <ptoscano@redhat.com> ---

I still get the same errors after adding my user id to /etc/at.allow. I tested whether job control was enabled by moving top into the background using ctrl-z and fg to return and that worked. Any suggestions as to what I am

I have recently built and packaged httpd-2.4.9 from source provided by apache.org together with apr-1.5.0 and apr-util-1.5.3. I removed mod_socache_dc from the httpd.spec file so that the complete build provides the following packages: apr-1.5.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm apr-debuginfo-1.5.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm apr-devel-1.5.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm apr-util-1.5.3-1.el6.x86_64.rpm

OT: YUM, RPM and PGP keys
A short time ago a message on this list referred to an OSS project called ledgersmb. I am having a deal of difficulty getting this installed and as the web page at www.ledgersmb.org yields a "page not found" error and the ledger-smb-users mailing list seems very lightly used I wonder if someone here could help me out? I have ploughed through all of the perl dependencies for ledgersmb

Help with yum and cpio: MD5 sum mismatch
I am trying to install Ruby-1.8.7p302 on a CentOS-5.5 server in preparation for a Rails-3 application deployment. I have downloaded the source from Rubyforge.org, unpacked it, and ran ./config and make. Everything built without error. I then ran checkinstall to create an rpm package. That too completed without error. However, when I try to install the resulting package using: yum localinstall

Runaway rpm process?
CentOS-6.4_x86_64 I have a KVM virtual machine (several actually) which acts as a warm spare for another kvm instance running on a different physical host. Each hour it backs up the live system using rsync. This morning I discovered that the backup instance was running at 99% utilisation and that the process consuming the entire virtual cpu was this: sh -c rpm -q -a --queryformat

iaxModem pickup problem
It depends a bit on your version of FreePBX, but here's a link to show you how: http://telium.ca/pages/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19 Hopefully option 1 works for you (quick and easy). If not, you'll have to try option 2. Ignore option 3 since that's only for users of High Availability for Asterisk (HAAst). (I assume that if you had a full backup you would have already tried to

Is there Blink SIP/SRTP soft-phone CentOS-6 rpm package available?
Does anyone know of a reputable repository where I can obtain a CentOS-6 version of Blink as an rpm/yum package? I have to support three platforms (OSX, MS-Win and CentOS-Linux) with SRTP capable soft-phones. interoperating with an Asterisk-11 PBX; and I would rather have only one client to deal with. -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B. PostgreSQL 8.3.0 rpm packages for RHEL5/CentOS5
PostgreSQL 8.3.0 was released on February 4, 2008. There are a number of valuable enhancements in this version including Heap Only Tuples and integration of full text search. It is also reputed to provide a performance increase of at least 5% over 8.2.6. As usual, RHEL compatible RPMS are available at postgresql.org. However, there is a new (to me at least) project at http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/

Checkinstall rpm for CentOS-6 x86_64?
I cannot seem to find a checkinstall rpm package for CentOS-6 or one for x86_64 more recent than CentOS4. When I try to build it locally from the most recent source I can find, c.2006, I get build errors having to do with size constants either missing or improperly defined. Does anyone have a source for an rpm of this package that runs on CentOS-6_x86_64 or can recommend a replacement for it?
