DS3 in OS X Lion
So I'm trying to install Dungeon Siege 3 via wine setup.exe and while I get some of the setup done, eventually this happens in my terminal window:

winetricks vcrun200* does not install the overrides properly
In current git, when I attempt to run winetricks vcrun2005 or vcrun2008, the installation completes in console, but the overrides do not get installed in windows/system32. Anybody else has this problem?

Problem installing SIMIO simulator

Mass Effect fails to install
Hi!
I have tried to install Mass Effect several times on my Thinkpad L520 Notebook with Linux Mint 12 and wine 1.3.35 from the ubuntu-wine ppa. I have two discs, the first DVD installs the game, the second CD patches it to version 1.01a, with some Czech and Hungarian extensions. I guess the first DVD is for version 1.00, but I could't find out.

Application Installation Error
I am attempting to use wine to run a windows application called
VideoReDo. I'm getting an error when I try to install the program,
however, and I don't know how to proceed. The error is:

Counter Strike Source Won't load.
Okay so I have just installed Fedora 16 64-bit. Coming from a Ubuntu user I'm well aware that counter strike source works great under linux. I've been trying to get it to work but every time I try to load it, it loads for a moment and then crashes. I have the proprietary AMD ATI drivers for my ATI Radeon HD 5750. FSX install... Failure
Hey guys I desperately want to install FSX, please don't post anything referring me to another sim, I already have it on another comp and I want to link them, I decided to use linux(Ubuntu 10.1) on this machine(programming reasons) so using wine that I installed three days ago, should have Wine triks, I attempted to install FSX but I got err. 1603.

I successfully installed DivX player 6.6 using wine. But when I try to open the player, I get the following errors.

New to Wine...and already in trouble...
Hi
I've installed Wine on my openSUSE 11.3 x64 box. I'm trying to install Sage Instant accounts but keep getting the Error 1628 message.
I've been searching most of the evening and trying the various fixes (run from command line, rename the InstallerShield folder etc) but to no avail.
Do I just need to accept that Sage Instant won't work and go back to the (slow) VirtualBox?

MS Visio 2003 - Wine 1.1.10 - Ubuntu 8.04
I would like to install (and work) with Visio 2003 using Ubuntu 8.04 and Wine 1.1.10.
I have tried to install using setup.exe and the setup app started all looked ok then right at the end of the install it crashed with a "cannot find the wscript.exe" I tried to start Visio and as if i couldn't work this out Visio didn't start.

Problems with games on very slow computer
Hello, I've installed Arch on my old laptop (it's slower than my phone, only 700mhz, 256mb of ram and S3 Savage IX 8MB graphics) and tried to launch something via wine. Winetricks works good and I've installed dotnet20, corefonts and fontfix.

Painter Essential 2 (wacom bundle)
I bought a wacom, and with it comes this Corel Painter Essentials 2.
installation went fine with wine, but when I try to run the program, I get
