Hi I recently tried to install the printerdriver to the samba server (samba 3.0alpha30 on debian) from a windows 2000 client. Hi, After using the client driver for a long time, I want to give a try to the drivers installed on Samba server. I am using the how-to at http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/classicalprinting.html It goes fine up to "installing drivers into [print$] using APW". I can see a list of drivers files growing into W32X86. But when I try to access the properties of a

Hi, On Samba 3.0.2a on debian stable with a 2.6.5 kernel, each time I use APW to configure my printers, smbd takes more and more memory and the kernel does an Out of Memory (I have 512 Mo RAM). Windows 7 64-bit drivers / cupsaddsmb
I'm getting ready to migrate my office of 50+ Windows XP machines to Windows 7, in a mix of 64-bit and 32-bit clients. I've setup a new samba server on a separate domain to prepare and test for this transition. I've gotten everything to work so far except for printing, and I'm at a loss on how to proceed. It appears to me as if adding the printer drivers in the usual way,

smb panic when adding printer with apw
Hi, I'm using samba 3.3.15 as domain member in an w2k8 ad. We're using the w2k3/xp add printer wizard to add a printer to the server. Since the update from 3.2.15 to 3.3.15 the apw fails when clicking on the "finish" button. At the same time a smb panic occurs and fills the smbd log with the lines below.
