can't connect to an Eaton Powerware 9155 over a usb-serial adapter
hello everyone,
I've been testing the NUT solution as opposed to the undocumented LanSafe
application to control my Eaton UPS.
I am on a Slackware 13.37 system with a 2.6.37.6 kernel. NUT version is
2.4.3 .
I installed the tarball by compiling it directly on my system (as a
slackbuild package).
The UPS is an Eaton Powerware 9155, but I don't know how to obtain the
manufacturing date. The

Eaton Powerware 5110 - some stats not reported
The meter map is basically a bitmap that indicates what variables are output (and in what format) by the UPS. You will likely see a variable, 'not mapped' or nothing. The variables and 'not mapped' items are output by the UPS in the measurement block, and the map tells nut how to read it. 'Unmapped' means that there is a variable there that nut is ignoring, and the xcp

Powerware 9120 / bcmxcp losing communication
Hi all,
I just acquired a new UPS and have been trying to get it to work with NUT. It's an Eaton/Powerware 9120 700i with both USB and RS-232 interfaces.
I first tried the USB interface (using bcmxcp_usb) and found that the UPS worked fine for a few minutes but then NUT lost communication and didn't get it back. In addition the UPS itself seemed to lock up at one point such that the

Well, now that the `subdriver` option got added to `usbhid-ups` too, you
can at least try that (by building again the current master). See
command-line help for the subdrivers it would currently recognize, and copy
e.g. the first word as the matching option, e.g.:
./drivers/usbhid-ups -DDDDDD -d1 -s test -x port=auto -x vendorid=...
-x productid=... -x subdriver=...
and try to lockpick your

NUT support for CyberPower PR1500LCDRTXL2Ua
Hey all,
I ended up picking up the module listed in Subject line.
I switched over my config but apparently not all going smoothly.
My config is:
[office]
driver = powerpanel
port = /dev/ttyS0
desc = "Office UPS"
When I test the driver running power-panel as a test, I get:

PowerWalker VFI 2000 RT LCD
Hi all,
I have problem with UPS from PowerWalker model VFI 2000 RT LCD over USB
(didn't try serial yet).
UPS should work via HID driver but ups.status is not rendered properly.
Specification of UPS says USB HID compatible.
HID driver is the only one which talks with UPS as i try a few from
/lib/nut.
I use driver usbhid-ups (which communicate with ups), but subdriver

HP/Compaq Rackmount UPS Support?
Hi,
I have an HP R5500XR and a Compaq R3000XR that I would like to use with nut.
I searched the compatibility lists and the mail list archives but couldn't
find anything.
They both have 9 pin serial ports.
Can anyone give me any information about them, and if they are supported by
nut?
Thanks,

blazer_usb - short reply
Hello!
I'm trying to use nut with a Ippon Smart Winner 3000 UPS
(http://shop.key.ru/photo/items/45535.jpg) which looks like a
custom-labeled OEM model of the megatec branch.
I tried both the megatec_usb and the blazer_usb drivers for it, with a
obvious config section:
[ippon]
driver = blazer_usb
port = auto
vendorid = 06da
productid = 0003
desc = "Ippon Smart Winner 3000"

The dreaded Tripp Lite SMART500RT1U and NUT

I am doing my best to avoid have to spend $280 for a network monitoring
card to put into a $190 UPS just to have some good remote monitoring
capabilities. Rather, I would like to monitor my many 1U Tripp Lite's on
my network using a Raspberry Pi running Raspian and using NUT.
However, I cannot seem to get it working. And I while the hardware

Thanks for the feedback. I will try to answer some of these questions:

Do you have one of these UPSes?
If so, here was Dan's email about a branch to test:

Problems with Unitek Alpha 1000 Ps
Hello to all list members,
I'm trying to make my UPS work with nut-2.2.2 (using Debian Testing, but
compiled from source code) for a week ago, with not success. It's a
Unitek Alpha 1000Ps, and I supossed it would work with megatec_usb
driver, as other Unitek models. It has an USB interface, and when I plug
it into my system I've got this message:

smsbrasil-0.0.2 driver
Hello again!
Sorry for not being able to test this before.
Ulisses, please apply the patch to fix typo in my e-mail address.
I've compiled it against nut-2.6.5 about 10 hours ago. It was everything
fine until now. I'm seeing CHRG but the ups led wasn't blinking at all.
Vendor software was strangely showing charging also. I am assuming this is
expected behavior.
I've set the
