Rise of Legends video problems
I'm running WINE 1.3.33 (on Ubuntu 10.10 64bit) I've installed the Rise of Legends retail version and that runs fine. The game starts, gives a warning about AGP Texture Acceleration not being enabled, and then ends up with a TINY version of the game screen in the upper left corner of the screen. I can actually almost see the dialogs in the game etc, and when I tried the demo version of

Playing Neverwinter Nights
I've installed Neverwinter Nights using a wrapper in Wineskin, but when given the option to select an EXE I don't know which to pick. I've systematically gone through all the different things I think are most likely, but nothing lets me run the game. With some .exe files, such as nwmain.exe (which i thought would be the one) the whole Wineskin program simply stops responding. I

Pulse audo in 1.3.25+
So I used to use the winepulse patch for wine. (Yes I like pulse). But since 1.3.25+ uses mmdevapi for audio, that patch no longer works. That author points to a wine multimedia git, however, after installing that I have no more sound in any wine application, and the winecfg test audio says audio failed. How do I get this new sound server working in wine? -- Sincerely, MacNean C. Tyrrell

The log for this exe is provided Code: Dynamic session lookup supported but failed: launchd did not provide a socket path, verify

SATA RAID on CentOS!

It's just a marketing trick > that has nothing to do with reality. Exactomundo. Even AHCI is still software-driven. It is my sincerest hope that the term "FRAID" (or something else) catches on

Older 3ware controller, was: Serial ATA hardware raid.
From: Harald Finn?s > You seem to know what you're talking about, Seems v. Knows is a whole new ballgame. But I have been deploying SCSI on Linux since 1993 (Advansys, now owned by LSI, was the first vendor to formally support Linux), SCSI RAID on Linux since 1997 (large ICP-Vortex), through 3Ware's original FPGA ASIC designs in the AccelATA and Escalade 5000 series in 1999+. real SATA RAID
Hi Last week I had a lengthy thread in which someone indicated the my SIL card is a FRAID (don't know if F stands for the F word or Fake, though it doesn't really matter). I want to replace the controller with a controller that Linux will see the RAID1 group as a single HD and not multiple HDs as it happens with the SIL controller. Recommendations anyone? -- TIA Paolo --------------

Screaming Interrupt error and hang.
One system I have is configured thusly: AMD Duron 1200 (I have frequency restrictions in this application, and must stay below 1.3GHz or must be above 2.0GHz, and the 1200 fits nicely in our interference plan; besides, I was given the chip, and it's fast enough for the application). Soyo DRAGON KT400 motherboard, 512MB DDR RAM (DDR266). Silicon Image SATA interface card. Machine boots

1.3.15, mouse screwy now on OSX.
not sure if its just me or anyone else noticed this... but mouse control in games is basically impossible now in 1.3.15. like holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse to move a character direction just barely moves or jumps, or just stops moving, or then spins around... its horrid. 1.3.14 and earlier are still working fine without that problem. Is anyone else seeing this? is it
