printing = lprng working?
Hi I updated samba today to 3.0.5. Printing stopped working. The log says: [2004/08/02 14:28:57, 0] printing/print_cups.c:cups_printer_fn(108) Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost - Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt I'm using lprng not cups. Is samba ignoring printing = lprng? I tested lpr it still works as usual. Is there anything else I should check? Thanks. Best, Hans

Log on problems since update from 2.2.12 to 3.0.10
Hi, I want to move from Samba 2.2.12 to 3.0.10. I downloade the 3.0.10 sources and compiled them (Solaris 8). Everything went fine. After the install, I tested the new 3.0.10 Samba with the old smb.conf from 2.2.12 (the docs say this should work). I could not log in anymore. I switched back to 2.2.12 and tried the 3.0.10 install on a Suse Linux 8.0 - with the same results. I used most parts from

side-by-side Barplot newbie question
Hi, I am new to R and I hope someone can help me with my problem. I am trying to draw a side by side barplot. There is a main experiment and there are many sub experiments within the main experiment. I would like to draw a bar plot showing the number of sub_experiments done for each main_exp. For instance if the Main_Exp is 6, I would like to group the sub exp's for the main_exp and show

However because of the characteristics of the data I'd like to do it with a negative binomial estimation. Would anybody know how to implement a Seemingly Unrelated Negative Binomial (SUNB) estimation in R? Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, Elisa Lanzi -- Elisa Lanzi PhD student in

creating standard curves for ELISA analysis
Hi 1Rnwb, I am a technical support for Hitachi Solutions and I saw your post regarding ELISA analysis. When I opened up your .csv file, I noticed it was a Luminex file from the Data Collector 1.7 software. My company developed a multiplex data analysis software for the Luminex platform called http://www.miraibio.com/masterplex-qt/qt-luminex-quantitative-data-analysis-software.html MasterPlex

When I run a ordiplot all species are projected in the output graph, but I'd like to restrict the number of species plotted in the final graph. Some species are so rare in the data, that no relevant

creating standard curves for ELISA analysis
Hello R guru's I am a newbie to R, In my research work I usually generate a lot of ELISA data in form of absorbance values. I ususally use Excel to calculate the concentrations of unknown, but it is too tedious and manual especially when I have 100's of files to process. I would appreciate some help in creating a R script to do this with minimal manual input. s A1-G1 and A2-G2 are
