rsync is concatenating the files together
I am seeing a really odd problem with Rsync 2.6.2 and 2.6.3. I am trying to rsync a directory containing some 2gb files from a Solaris 9 NFS server to a Solaris 10b69 NFS client. Rsync is running on the Solaris 10 client. Here is the source directory as seen from the client: Source directory: -rwxr--r-- 1 root priv 1270666114 Jan 3 2004 FLY.GHO* -rwxr--r-- 1 root priv

infinite loop in make for src/unix (PR#2477)
Full_Name: John Van Voorhis Version: 1.6.2 OS: SunOS 5.8 Submission from: (NULL) (128.8.130.192) While running initial 'make' everything went fine until src/unix. At which point it kept entering and exiting src/unix without doing anything. I fixed the problem by deleting the dependencies on Makefile for the Makedeps and R targets. I am using gnu Make 3.79, gcc 2.95.3, Solaris SunOS5.8

[cfe-dev] proposal - pragma section directive in clang
Thanks Reid/Jonathon for your replies. Reid, An important case against module level flags is that it wont allow changing or resetting section names e.g. int a; #pragma clang section bss = "xyz" int b; In case above, users would like to see only 'b' placed in 'xyz' and not 'a' as well. Link pointed to by Jonathon seems to require same behavior.

[cfe-dev] proposal - pragma section directive in clang
Hi Reid, Unfortunately yes, it is. > If we do go with approach 3, I'd recommend adding a single metadata attachment that controls all sections a global could possibly live in (text, data, rdata, bss). I agree with this, although I think using metadata here wouldn't be right - don't we need to use attributes when dropping metadata would cause miscompiles? I was considering adding

merging to data.frames whose columns are different but follow a pattern.
Hi, I'm working with panel data from the Swiss Houshold Panel (SHP). The data i got came in the following way: 1.) 12 *different* /individual/ files - one for each year . 2.) 12 *different* /houshold/ files - again: one for each year Each file came in the SPSS format (.sav). I implemented all the files in R an managed (via rename, cbind, rbind, merge etc.) to get *two* files. The first file

Automatic creation of file names
Dear R-Help members, I have a question about how to save to the hard drive the one thousand datasets I generated in a simulation. The datasets are created in a "for" loop that repeatedly creates normally distributed datasets, such as the example below: Library(MASS) for (number in 1:1000) { dataset = mvrnorm(n = 400, mu = c(0,0,0), Sigma =

DNS frustration
I'm getting fed up with the whole DNS scenario with Samba4. I'm literally about to go insane. I've spent about 60 hours in the last two weeks and I can't seem to figure out a solution that meets my requirements. So what are my requirements? * A Samba4 AD domain. * A DHCP server for approx 100 windows clients/devices * A DNS server whose forward and reverse zones get updated when

Compiler OR Obfuscator for RoR applications?
Hi folks, I''m a newbie in the Ruby land, The Ruby language and RoR looks really great but I think in my situation there is a problem, we are an ISV that sells web application and we don''t want our clients see our source code, I searched the web but couldn''t find any way to compile and\or obfuscate ruby code (in web (RoR)), is there such tool available for the language?

[PATCH/RFC OSSTEST] Debian PV netboot guest test
I''ve been working on this on the odd occasion, I think it mostly works, or it did last I tried which was a while back. I''m sure it is too hacky in places. My plan was to clean it up on the next test day. I''m mostly just sending this for Wei''s benefit since he is independently looking at adding Debian HVM guest tests for OVMF purposes. Ian. commit

Hi Jason, I suppose you installed the Matrix library, and it is working on your computer? If yes, may be det.Matrix() was removed, or renamed in the Matrix library you have (I cannot check this for the latest version, because I am away of the office until August 1st), but I will do that next week. In the meantime, you can replace 'det.Matrix' by 'det.default', and it should run.

FreeBSD 4.11 -> 6.2 Oplocks issue..
Hello all, I am updating a working 4.11 server to 6.2. It runs two simple apps quite nicely and has been doing so for years. I have the 4.11 box up to 3.0.22 and I am putting 3.0.26a on the new 6.2 machine. When I do that (and move the config over) the apps do not load and smbd crashes, twice it even took the server down with it.. I have even gone so far as to run testparm -v and diff the

Wierd 8.3 Name Mangling
I've installed Samba 3.0.7 (stock Debian package), but I'm having some wierd problems with name mangling. The relevant lines in smb.conf are: preserve case = yes short preserve case = yes mangled names = yes mangle prefix = 5 mangling method = hash2 In a share, I did "touch test-file.GHO" to create a long filename. When I do a "dir" under DOS,
