maybe OT: Univention.de UCS
Hello List, the UCS GUI Univention made looks quite nice and useful. Since they put it open source it became interesting for us. I am a little confused that they only provide ISO images and not the Management Project as source code since I don't want to depend on them. Has someone got a little experience with it? Thanks, Mario

quota-support seems to be broken in 3.0.6/3.0.7
Hello we're using samba based on the debian-package, which we translated including the configure-option "--with-quotas" The user-interaction with quotas is OK, in his (the users) view the partition-size is limited to his quota-hard-limit. This works both with XFS and EXT3. Windows (XP SP1 and SP2) administration of quota is not possible. Using 3.0.5 I can do a

What's wrong is that the

Question about multiple ldap backend (as failover/load balance)
Hello OK, in my case, there is only one samba server acting as PDC. On the PDC, it has a openldap server as backend. I have configured another server as the slave ldap server. slave ldap server will pool data by syncrepl. There are some spaces in samba/smbldap-tool that we can configure multiple ldap servers (or load balance by use of DNS) What happen if the PDC write data to the slave ldap

When connected to this extensions, a 'flash' signalling opens the door. So now, i'd like to trigger this from asterisk, too, but unfortunately wasn't able to do so. Setup: asterisk

Sorting alphanumerically
I'm trying to sort a DATAFRAME by a column "ID" that contains alphanumeric data. Specifically,"ID" contains integers all preceeded by the character "g" as in: g1, g6, g3, g19, g100, g2, g39 I am using the following code: DATAFRAME=DATAFRAME[order(DATAFRAME1$ID),] and was hoping it would sort the dataframe by ID in the following manner g1, g2, g3, g6, g19,

ftp-proxy(8) doesn't respect "-a" (source address for outgoing control connection)
Hello, according to man (8) ftp-proxy, "-a 1.2.3.4" should instruct ftp-proxy to use 1.2.3.4 as source address for outgoing control connections. But it doesn't. It seems to greatly ignor that directive, since I can pass any address, ieven if the machine doesn't own it. It always uses the EGRES interface's inet address - inet6 not tested. Any ideas why? Thanks, -Harry

Respect for Rails 0.1.0 is out!
Hi, Just to let you know that I have just released a new Rails plug-in called: Respect for Rails. Never feel the need to document your REST API while still developing it because a colleague of yours is making a mobile app client at the same time? If yes, then this gem is for you. [PATCH] minimize doesn't respect "no core instance" flag
Hi, In current git, minimize doesn't respect the PAINT_WINDOW_NO_CORE_INSTANCE_MASK flag set by other plugins. I noticed that especially in group: Tabbed windows are hidden by setting PAINT_WINDOW_NO_CORE_INSTANCE_MASK. When these windows are minimized together with their group, minimize draws its animation regardless if that flag is set or not; with the effect of the hidden windows appearing

AW: Re: [PATCH] minimize doesn't respect "no core instance" flag
Hi, Let me ask in a more general way: A plugin wants to hide windows by preventing their drawing - that's all group wants to do. What's the correct way to do that? From my understanding, that's NO_CORE_INSTANCE_MASK. If that's not true, what's the exact meaning of that flag? Another way to do that would be to just return from paintWindow instead of calling the next plugin,
