Light-weight voice recognition for IVR
Hello list, 'Just wondering if anyone can point to a very light-weight and easy to incorporate into Asterisk (v. 11.x) to handle a minimal set of responses, like: 0 - 9 yes no (maybe * and # for some people) The idea is that within an IVR menu, the caller could respond by speaking to the typical IVR options, like: For Archie, press or say 1 now For Veronica, press or say

helping out with documentation?
What would be the best way to help out with Documentation - like changing some of the bits in Samba by example or adding pointers to other chapters where John Terpstra has missed a step that another chapter covers? I can't find any info on the website that shows me how to write in the docbook xml format - I haven't done that before, so I need some pointers. Where can I find some?

Fwd: rsync on OSX for transferring files using FAT32
Hi, Which version of Mac OS X are you running? If you are on Mac OS 10.5.x then I can only suggest that you try either formating the drive to HFS + or creating a disk image with an HFS+ file system. If you are running Mac OS 10.4.x then ensure that that ACL support is enabled on the drive. The following URL contains information on how to check and enable ACL support :

uids/gids changed after upgrade from 3.021c to 3.023
Hi All, Yesterday, I've upgraded my Samba server from 3.021c to 3.023 through yum upgrade samba*. I'm running Fedora Core 4 Kernel 2.6.17-1.2142 on this server. After upgrade has been completed, I lost the attributes of ownership and groups. I noticed that the uids/gids have changed for all AD accounts. This means that users can't have total access for their files and no access

A regression in 3.0.25rc3?
Dear Samba team, I have installed the above release of samba and I am seeing the same problem as decribed in this old posting when I try to add permissions to printers: http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-July/123177.html Interesting that this was last seen in 3.0.23. 3.0.24 behaves as expected. Thanks Alex

All was working flawlessly before. *1.* getent passwd no longer lists machine accounts. *2.* On the Win2K pdc, the samba system's "DNS name" on the general tab is now listed as localhost.localdomain, and the operating system is still listed as

3.0.20 -> 3.0.23 SID/group error?? Won't connect.
Gerry, all: HELP! On mandriva, I compiled samba from source and got it running, but I cannot connect from windows.
