roaming profiles and quota limits
I have a Samba server where I established disk quotas for each user. When I
check the free space from Windows its shows correctly the used space, but
not the total space: I have set 100 MB soft limit, 200 MB hard limit and one
user has used 150 MB, and it shows "150 MB used / 0 bytes free". When the
user logs off, Windows complains that it can't store the roaming profile due

get quota command
I'm running samba 3.0.13 on a debian box, sharing out NFS filesystems
from a solaris box. I know, bad idea.. file locking, etc... non-issues
at the moment.
I've discovered that if I make a share from a local filesystem,
the PC's mounting the share see their quota (hard limit, not
soft which is another matter) as their capacity and their
appropriate free space... this is good.

Quota Question
Hi,
I have several Samba servers running on Linux (Debian Etch) machines
using 2.6.18 kernel.
The Samba shares are all on an XFS filesystem, with user and group quota
support. I have three problems/questions:
1. When a user hits their quota limit, they get a "disk full" error.
2. When a user checks the free space of the share, they see the space on
the entire share, rather than the

Quota system over NFS
I've been trying to implement the quota system for a Linux cluster. I'm
trying it out on a mini-cluster of 4 CentOS 6.3 VMs. I've named them:
lion-login
lion-sn1
lion-cn01
lion-cn02
All nodes are on the virtual subnet 192.168.56.0/24. lion-sn1 (storage
node 1) is the NFS server and the other three nodes are the NFS clients.
/etc/exports on lion-sn1:
/home 192.168.56.0/24(rw)

Verify limit-objects from clients in Gluster9 ?
Hello all.
Is there a way to check inode limit from clients?
df -i /path/to/dir
seems to report values for all the volume, not just the dir.
For space it works as expected:
# gluster v quota cluster_data list
Path Hard-limit Soft-limit
Used Available Soft-limit exceeded? Hard-limit exceeded?

quota_rule beeing ignored and set to system soft! quota
Hi,
originating from the same Problem Edgar Fu? described here [1] about
"Zero-sized Maildir files and index corruption on over-quota" i setup
quota = fs:user quotas with a quota_rule set to 1.5G to prevent getting
those zero sized mail files. What happens now is that when the user is
over system soft quota (1G) mails stop beeing delivered.

soft quota lda question
hi all,
i'm using dovecot deliver (lda) and i want to show quota to the users
via imap/pop3, but i don't want to enforce it (i.e. don't
reject/bounce mails when quota is exceeded).
protocol imap {
mail_plugins = quota imap_quota
}
protocol pop3 {
mail_plugins = quota
}
# In case you're using deliver:
protocol lda {

Deliver and file system quota
Hi,
what is the quota plugin for deliver supposed to do when using fs quota?
With IMAP, and not using noenforcing, a user that is over Soft limit can't
copy mails.
With deliver, the mail is delivered normally. When hard limit is exceeded,
there is an error "rejected: Not enough disk space", just like when I don't
use the plugin in lda.
Even the lda setting

Dovecot stop accepting command When reading disk quota (soft)
Hello all,
I've face some problem here and I think it should be the way.
1) I'm running Dovecot version 0.99.10.4 (fc1 release) on RH9
2) One of the users have reach the soft disk quota limits
3) Dovecot stop the users from deleting email.
What I think was, dovecot should let the user continue to use the
services until it reach the hard limits, but pop up message each and
every time ;).

I've been banging my head against smbcquota with no results, other than a
major headache, and i've not been able to find any info ( maybe looking in
the wrong places).

Dovecot stops to work - anvil problem
Hi all,
we have a problem about anvil, it seems that when we have a high load the
dovecot stops to work. Sometimes it is sufficient to make a dovecot
reload, but sometimes we have to restart it.
These are the lines related to anvil in the dovecot.log:
[root at secchia ~]# grep anvil /var/log/dovecot.log | more

Hi,
I am having trouble with the quota plugin with deliver. In the auth logs, I
see that dovecot is able to get the attribute value just fine:

get quota command - Example
I know when I went looking for a complete example of how to interface
with samba's quota system there was no good ones, so here it is. I
developed this yesterday with a lot of trial and error. Feel free to
use this in any way people feel fit. With this script I can now get
correct used/free reporting based on the output of quota for both
users and groups.
I developed this because samba

get quota command bugs?
First of all: Thanks Samba-Team for a job well-done on Samba-3.0.0 (nice
new features)
Now some problems:
1. We're use Veritas filesystem on our RedHat AS 2.1 server and quota
don't seem to work at this moment (/usr/include/sys/fs/vx_quota.h is
missing). So I thought that using "get quota command" would do the trick
(just call vxquota and parse output). But nothing
