We're running samba 3.20 ( pretty default install ) on solaris. During the day 99.9% of the time the load avg. on the server is just fine, however at times all the smbd processes go into a "run" state and put load avg. on the server to over 300. This only lasts for a couple of minutes and then goes away. The smbd process count is normally around 400-600 all day. So Its not like

I'm currently running samba 3.0.20a I can configure and make 3.0.20a with no problem I run the same configure command on the 3.0.24 source, configure works fine, but make returns the following.
