play each person's voicemail
How do I set each extension to play it's own voicemail prompts? I have vm working in that it plays the standard "person at extension 1234 is not available....." and takes the message. I've recorded seperate .gsm files for each user but can not figure out how to use them. - Gary Edison Information Technologies www.EdisonInfo.com P.O. Box 554

What gui works with samba 3.x and tdbsam ???
I just setup a new server for a client and everything is running well. I added and setup all the users from the cli just because that's how I'm used to doing it. I tried using the samba gui that comes with CentOS 4.03 and I tried Webmin but nether one will add the user proberly to the tdbsam database. They add the user fine to the /etc/passwd file but samba does not get updated

password changing errors
For several versions now, we've been unable to get password changing to work *without errors*. Now management would like to see it working fantastic so that we can age passwords, but without errors. No matter what I do, I get a couple of errors. The first time I try to change from a 7 letter password to '#1password', which should be complex enough for any rule, I get: The username

nmbd eats cpu for breakfast after upgrade from 3.5 to 3.6
Hello. I have Samba 3.6.4 with LDAP backend with domain logons enabled. Long time I was running 3.5.1? from Debian Squeeze backports without any problems. Few days ago I decided (after testing) to upgrade to 3.6.4, also from Debian backports. Next morning nobody could login and nmbd was eating up a enitre cpu core. Killing nmbd with -9 and restarting samba solved the problem. Same happened

[Fwd: Re: Need Samba 3.0.0 help] More info...
Well folks this is getting irritating. When we map our Solaris Home directory to a network drive on the NT side of life then attempt to "make a new folder" it actually does make the new folder in the home directory, but it just hangs up on the Windows side. Any ideas why we don't get a return response? Another thing is that if we select a ".txt" file to view, the log files

(PR#7277) Re: strange windows behaviour after changing
I can reproduce this in MDI. Another clue is that as the pager for ?merge is opened, the font in the console changes. The console is still working: commands you type in it are accepted. So the issue appears to be that the font in use has been changed incorrectly (and it seems that the C code thinks it has been changed in the preferences dialog). texi2pdf texinputs arguments
Dear All I am trying to specify the output directory and the directory for the log files (the same) for texi2dvi. The default for my windows computer is C:\Users\...\Documents which I do not want. The help guide: texinputs NULL or a character vector of paths to add to the LaTeX and bibtex input search paths. is a little cryptic for me this morning I have tried texi2dvi(file =

Fwd: Re: Samba Install/SWAT Access
Paul, Deryck, et al., Thanks for all of your help (OP isn't savvy--what was your first clue? <g>). After sufficient prodding, I went and looked and found the following URL, at our very own samba.org, for rpms for Samba v 3.0.14a:

Error changing password
After a long battle with the having the password hash types that samba sets in LDAP being incompatibile with anything else that I wanted to do I finally have the idealx tools set to give me crypt passwords. Now however I'm running into the familiar "You don't have permission to change your password" problem, but the passwords are actually set correctly. My test machine is

xyplot and panel.curve
Hi All I have regression coefficients from an experiment and I want to plot them in lattice using panel curve but I have run into error messages. I want an 3 panel conditioned plot of 2 curves of Treatment 2 in each panel conditioned by Treatment1, the example curve expression is x+value*x^2 A rough toy example to give an idea of what I want is: Data: data = expand.grid(Treatment1 =

Rectangle height in lattice xyplot key
Dear All I have a problem with the height of the boxes in the key in the following. (The text is over 2 lines to accentuate the problem of no space between the rectangles.) Is there an easy way to put a space between the rectangles; size controls the width but there appears to be nothing for the height? xyplot(1~1, key = list(corner = c(0.8,0.8),

Groups not recognized
I've got an issue with a fresh (and I mean really fresh) 3.0.5 + ldap server where doesn't seem to recognize unix group membership. The server was 2.2.8a last night and things were working. The unix side works flawlessly, in other words if I log in as myself I can get where I need to, but under samba I get nothing. Here's some supporting info: my group membership information:

smbd process
We are in the process of updating samba on our Solaris servers from (2.0.5) to (3.0.2) I have completed one host and all seems to working ok. However I have noticed that for both versions of samba, as users map shares the smbd process which starts can be either own by root or the users id. This seems to be random. Can anyone shed light as to what controls the owner of this process. This is
