How do I stop the guest account printing?
Hi there.
I've had Samba running fo a while now on a machine that we use as a shared
file store. Not everyone who uses it has an account on the linux machine,
so it's setup with "security = share" to allow guest access to some of the
shares. But I've now attached a printer that I dont want guest access to.
This might be something really simple that I'm missing, but I

No print to Samba (Linux) printer from Win98
I'm stuck.
I have Samba running on my Red Hat 7.2 Linux box. I can mount by remote dirctory
on the Linux box via Samba. But I can't print to the Linux printer. I have a
Linux printer installed and I can print to it using lpr. I have a printer
configured in Samba and can see that from the Win98SE box. I've clicked on the
Samba printer name and configured a Win98 printer.

simple coversion of matrix rows to matrix columns
Dear All
I would like to convert matrix rows to columns. I am thinking the t() function should help, but am having a hard time converting the matrix into the dimensions I would like them to. Example:
a <-matrix(c(1:30),ncol=3) gives me:[,1] [,2] [,3]
[1,] 1 11 21
[2,] 2 12 22
[3,] 3 13 23
[4,] 4 14 24
[5,] 5 15 25
[6,] 6 16 26
[7,] 7 17

windows client use Linux printer

Well, my previous attempt to get info on that matter was lame and
therefore no one replied. Here is a second attempt.
I need info about how to configure samba server and the windows (2000)

I read the article:
http://de.samba.org/samba/ftp/docs/htmldocs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.html#AEN833

Samba won't allow PC connections
Hello list,
I am at the hair pulling stage of this game right now. Having read through
many of the posts, I still seem to be unable to get my samba server to
allow anonymous connections ( or any connections for that matter ) from
windows machines.
All I want to do is have printers and one folder shared, all as guest
accessable. I have made the security level = share and made the shares

why is text being rasterized with text()
Here's a question: I noticed that when I tried to create this simple
graph of rectangles and text, R appears to generate text that is
rasterized (this is seen both on the monitor and when the output is
directed to a pdf file). Any thoughts?
