Dear Samba team In my lab: Windows XP/7/8 joined Samba4.1 AD DC OK! I don't change any password policy (all are default!) Currently I'am using samba for file sharing. My smb.conf file is basically setup as default with a few minor changes. Therefore, my samba server is not part of a domain. Right now users can map the samba shares with windows XP... With this type of setup is it possible for them to change there smbpasswd using ctrl-alt-del? I have been playing around with customizing the centos to create a spin for my workplace. I am using centos 6.6 minimal, and trying to change the centos name to some random string.
