No solution yet: No access even with domain trusts
Me and my problem again... I created the root user on the 2k Domain now (same password as on linux), and can authenticate that one. Strange a little, don't really understand that though. Is there any possibility to solve that, maybe by duplicating the user database on Linux in a regular time period? Or anyone maybe got the same problem and could help me with that? Would be really nice.

No access even with domain trusts
Hi there! I got a little problem with samba 3.0.5 (configure options: --with-winbind --with-winbind-auth-challenge --with-configdir=/etc/samba) on RedHat 9 Kernel 2.4.20-8smp. I am trying to set up a Squid proxy with user authentification on our domain and their trust relationships. The situation: We got one domain (lets call it Domain A) where the server is a member, and we got 3 other domains

Group auth with ntlm_auth
Hi there, I am trying to set up a Squid proxy using group authentication via samba ntlm. So I thought about using ntlm_auth, which can authenticate groups since Samba version 3.0.4 as I read. So anyone knows if it is possible to authenticate against different groups? Problem is we got 4 domains, each has it's own group called WWW and only members of that group are allowed to use the proxy.

[LLVMdev] [llvm-lab-wg] FNT testers reporting success even though they failed
This issue is back: FNT bots are reporting success in spite of tests failing, and the "report" text is empty again. Did someone change something? Ciao, Duncan. [LLVMdev] [llvm-lab-wg] FNT testers reporting success even though they failed
Hello everyone, It might make sense to start from rebooting the buildmaster, just to make sure everything is all right on this end. Yesterday I have tried to apply the latest changes from zorg and some of them are broken. Theoretically, checkconfig shouldn't affect the working instance, but the reality could be different... I planned to rollback to the last known-to-be-good revision and

WG: AW: WG: proxyarp <--> OpenSwan VPN/Internet
I´ve figured out the following. I am able to sftp from shorewall 2.4.2 left vpn gateway x.x.x.14 (DMZ) to shorewall 2.4.1 fw x.x.x.11 with /etc/shorewall/proxyarp x.x.x.14 eth2 eth0 No very well. That´s not through a tunnel (of course a ssh tunnel, but no vpn) but with public ip x.x.x.14 to x.x.x.11 If I try to sftp through the fw to the public internet I have the same

Fwd: [codec] WG Review: Internet Wideband Audio Codec (codec)
Hi everyone, Here's a follow-up on the two BoFs we've had about doing royalty-free codecs at the IETF. Well, the good new is that the proposal is now in IETF last call until January 20th (see below). No final decision has been made, so it's important to get as much support as possible for the Working Group proposal. You can see the ongoing discussion on the mailing list archive:

Authentication Problem
Hi Folks, I got a little problem with authentication. I set up samba 3.0.0 and squid 2.5stable4, using winbind to authenticate users via group with the nt4 domain pdc. Anyway... sometimes the authorization/authentication doesn't work. In the first test I had no problems surfing the net via proxy, and some minutes later I get an access denied message with the same user... so this is this a

WG: groups with foreign users don't list members
I have a Server, that joined an ADS. But we use multiple domains. My Server S is Member of the domain A. Now I have an ADS-group G that has members of domain A. > getent group G gives me the correct listing with the members. However, when I add a Member of another Domain A'
