Dear all,

looking into my log file is bothering me today with:
s4master named-sdb[19491]: failed to find dnsRecord for
DC=tplk.loc,CN=MicrosoftDNS,DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=tplk,DC=loc

How can I fix it??

Im asuming this server is running for a while.. 
( and upgrading samba to latest 4.1 would be nice also ) 

maybe a bad record entered the dns.

you can try the following.. 

on the server with error.. 
dig @127.0.0.1 .loc axfr > /tmp/check-zone.db
named-checkzone -d loc. /tmp/check-zone.db

and whats the result of that?

Hi Louis, I think you meant:

dig @127.0.0.1 tplk.loc axfr > /tmp/check-zone.db
named-checkzone -d tplk.loc /tmp/check-zone.db

Yours didn't work for me (allowing for domain name change), but changing 
it as I have shown does.

On the first glance I do not see anything wrong. No error everything on the
right place!?
What should be next?
