Hi all, First of all I am running (SunOS 5.5.1 Generic May 1996). My questions are about the Makefile. (1) Line 145 - WHICH OPERATING SYSTEM? If I uncomment one of the lines, what variable must I use. (2) If I don't uncomment the above then I get an error when running make. "./smb.h", line 1423: major: argument mismatch "./smb.h", line 1424: minor:

FYI : oplock problems
FYI, I'm setting up a file server for 1000 users based on mdk 8.0, self-compiled 2.4.19 + acl patches, self compiled samba 2.2.6, 100 Mbps NIC this server is right now in a pre-prod status and is currently used only by very few users while loading several +100 MB files on a share from a NT 4 wks 100 Mbps, we got several "session cancelled" messages, and un-killable D-state smbd

Getvar of CHANNEL not working for a couple of items
Building on my last message, I am trying to get CHANNEL data using getvar (through the AMI). And although I'm getting responses, some values returned seem illogical. For example, phone 111 calls phone 222 via the PBX. Here's the data I get back Channel A: "1688509741.112" , name: "PJSIP/111-00000064" , is originator: Y , call-Id: "u.l6kcou25cax60 at

Local music on hold -- mohinterpret=passthrough assymetrical ?
Hi list, I'm planning and testing a distributed asterisk deployment throughout several sites; each will be connected to the PSTN and all of them among themselves via IAX trunks. Phones will be SIP. I guess I already "solved" (worked-around, actually) asterisk's codec negotiation limitations regarding local G.711 utilization vs. remote G.729 while minimizing

SAMBA + ACLs + QUOTAs + WINBIND = headache
Hello I'm trying to set up a samba server on linux that will have ACL capability and QUOTA control. I'm working on a customized 2.4.18 kernel patched for EAs and ACLs, and quotas I've also customized a 2.2.3a samba with acls, winbind, quotas... it's working fine from a pure unix point of vue, acl allow fine grained access control, quotas limit use of space, and so on with samba

2.2.4 and "veto files" -> cpu maxed out
linux 2.2.19/rh6x I use in a share veto files = /.*/ whenever you connect to it the client process hangs, the smbd starts consuming cpu time and cannot be killed but with "kill -9".
