ext3fs and 2.4.14 kernel
Good morning,
I have tried to compile a 2.4.14 kernel (because I have some trouble
with the framebuffer and my Toshiba...). Thus, I have downloaded the
latest kernel and the ext3 patch. I have used the .config file used for
the compilation of my 2.4.13 kernel, but the compilation ends with

Problem with 2.4.14 and 9.15-2414
I just upgraded to kernel 2.4.14 and applied the ext3 patch
ext3-2.4-0.9.15-2414.gz. It appears (to me) that the patch
breaks the loop block device module (loop.o). The problem is
that the call to deactivate_page is unresolved. The routine
used to be defined in swap.c. It looks like it no longer
exists in 2.4.14.
I'm not a kernel programmer so if I'm mistaken, sorry. I do
get an

ext3 patch files
Hi, i'd like to upgrade my kernel to 2.4.14.
I've obtained the corresponding kernel patch from http://www.zip.com.au/~akpm/linux/ext3/ however when I run
gunzip < ~/ext3-2.4-0.9.15-2414.gz | patch -p1
I am told that this file is not in gzip format.
This is based on the file and instructions on ext3 for 2.4 site. Am I missing something?
cheers

I highly recommend the open source Jinzora project
(http://www.jinzora.org/). It has merged with and extended the capabilities
of the older NetJuke project. It's geared towards authenticated, on-demand
playback and supports many formats, ogg included. I've been thoroughly
impressed with the quality of the package, it's GUI options, and its
robustness.
I personally use icecast2 to

Multicast AMI?
Hi!
Maybe I have overlooked something, but I am sort of facing the following problem. I always used
the AMI interface to allow (older) client programs on Windows to use their TAPI client code in
order to communicate with Asterisk servers. The functionality is basically minimal as only
incoming calls need to get detected and there are occasional outgoing ones.
For the outgoing calls, a regular

Feedback about Vorbis Comment Chapter Extension
Hallo again!
Some month ago we discussed about the Vorbis Comment Chapter Extension:
http://wiki.xiph.org/Chapter_Extension
I got some critics about this specification, especially from the VLC
developers:
see https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/6895
Some parts of it:

This specification allows holes between chapters and allows overlapping
chapters... And does not explain what to

Recent changes in qdisc/cls APIs
Folks,
I''ve been changing some of the classifier APIs especially bits
related to the rate estimator and statistics between 2.6.8
and 2.6.10. This probably broke some external classifiers
such as esfq. If you happen to use one of them just send
me the correspondig patch and I will fix it up for you.
Cheers

Problems with Login after migration from 2.8. to 3.0.5
Hello,
on a server i did an upgrade from version 2.2.8 to 3.0.5. The machine
runs with RedHat 7.3. The 2.2.8 version was built from the makerpms.sh
script. The samba server is configured as Domain Controller.
The version 3.0.5 was built the same way and installed via rpm.
Now nobody can use domain logins. In the logfiles i found entries like

multichannel streaming
Hallo!
We are searching for a streaming-server for a e-learning system at a
university and therefore and I wanted to ask some questions:
There is a database of recordings on the server, and only registered
users (students) are allowed to hear those.
So if a user wants to hear record A, then a stream should be opened
(maybe a new mount point ?) and only this user should be allowed to hear

FIX YOUR AUTO-RESPONDERS!!!
PLEASE CONFIGURE YOUR AUTORESPONSERS TO NOT SEND MESSAGES TO PEOPLE WHO POST IN MAILING LISTS YOU SUBSCRIBE TO.
This is an extremely rude thing to allow, and is becoming increasingly common, especially with users of the Asterisk-Users list.

[LLVMdev] understanding DAG: node creation
Hi,
I'm not sure. But in your lowered DAG the chain nodes are the first
operands for you custom nodes, however for the other nodes the chain is
the last operand. I seem to remember that during targetlowering the
chain is the first operand and then it seems to switch over after
ISelDAG, this confused me and may have something to do with the issue
that you are seeing. I really don't
