[Flac-users] metaflac: "memory access error"
Hello all,
I used metaflac to add replay-gain to a lot of flac-files. But with few of
them metaflac exit and sais "Speicherzugriffsfehler" which I translate to
"memory access error" or somethin like this. The problematic files has the same
size like the other ones and I dont know why metaflac has a problem with them.

packet rate limiting
Hi,
I''m currently looking for a QoS extension that allows to limit the packet
rate to a given value. As I''m using HTB at the moment bandwidth limiting works
pretty well but packet rate limiting would be superb.
I do traffic shaping on a firewalling bridge (2.4.21) using iptables mark
and HTB. Any suggestions would be appriciated!

Mike

Icecast 1.3.12 hangs: Problems with a big number of sources?
Hi!
I work for the University of Dortmund in germany where we use icecast
as a server for DGPS data (see http://igs.ifag.de/index_ntrip.htm for
more information).
We took icecast version 1.3.12 and adapted it to our needs:
- low data rates of 50 and 500 bytes/sec
- up to 150 source streams
- no meta data
Our operating system is Red Hat Linux 8.0.
Under these circumstances and after variable

If you downloaded a version of the ''firewall'' script earlier that 1.294,
please upgrade to that version; earlier versions have problems - 1.293
has a syntax error for example :-(

Samba over the Internet...
Is it possible to allow login into one of my machines over the internet.
I currently have Samba running as PDC and from my house, I can access
the computer just fine when I'm using WinXP. There are no problems with
that, when I'm at home, the specific directory I want is mapped to a
drive letter. However I would like to be able to do the same from work.
Is this possible? In other words,

DID IT! - Samba 2.2.8a+LDAP+PDC
I am so stoked I just had to share this with y'all.
I just "SEAMLESSLY" migrated all of my machines and users over to my new
Gentoo Linux Server.
I even kept the same: domain name and old PDC NetBios name.
The trickiest part was getting all of the users to keep their same
profile, but I managed that by cloning the RID and Lanman/NT hashes for
the user accounts.
Free at last!

'ssh -f' option, interoperability with ssh v2.3.0
i'm trying to use the ssh command's -f option with OpenSSH v2.1.1p4 on

system - the specified is run succesfully but it isn't put to the

ldiskfs-ext4 interoperability question
Our current Lustre servers run the version 1.8.1.1 with the regular ldiskfs.
We are looking to expand our Lustre file system with new servers/storage and upgrade to all the lustre servers to 1.8.4 as well at the same time. We
would like to make use of the ldiskfs-ext4 on the new servers to use larger OSTs.
I just want to confirm the following facts:

G729a and G729 interoperability
Hello!
I am wondering how the differences between G729, G729a, and G729b
effect call bridging and server interoperability. For example, can
one server use the G729 code with another server that uses the G729A
codec?
Also, which version is Asterisk set up to use?
Thanks!

Interoperability between TE412P and Eurotech PRI E1 GSM & CDMA Gateway
Hi,
I am about to purchase an Eurotech PRI E1 GSM & CDMA Gateway to operate
with my Asterisk's TE412P interface.
Anyone here has any experience of having this combination? Any success
or failure stories would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
