Hi-- We've been observing some consistent filesystem corruption under ext3. The problem is that a directory created by one of our applications vanishes for some reason. The directory is created on installation the application. The files it contains are written infrequently (days to months) and read as part of every user command. The directory is under /etc and always has the same path.

Hello, for my meta-analysis I try to test if two varainces are equal without using the raw scores. I have is the SD's, N's and the Means. I want to test the variances from dependent and independend samples. I assume I can use the var.test procedure for the independent samples, but what about the dependent samples ? Before installing RH Linux, I used Partition Magic 7 in Windows to prepare partition ext2 for Linux which was then converted to ext3 when installing RH 7.2. Hi: I've not had any problems compiling libshout and ices2 on my debian woody system with the default autotools (I think they're automake 1.4p4 and autoconf 2.53 if memory serves). I use libogg and libvorbis 1.0 though, not current CVS. I do use libshout and ices2 cvs though. If auto* tools turn out to be a suspect, you can get packages right up to automake 1.7 under woody.
