RE: 2.2.7a logon script will not run (Rich Forman)
Rich,
Within the past 6 or 8 months, I to have upgraded my Samba to 2.2.7a. My
Conf file is similar to yours, except for your script path. What I have is
a global parameter of "logon script=" and then a [netlogon] share for the
script path. with that setup, I'm able to map drivers, set the time, run
liveupdate automatically and run "Automatic Updates" on my W2K machines.

Multiple problems with 2.2.7a-0.2
As the subject line indicates, I'm having multiple problems with
2.2.7a-0.2 . I compiled from source using the instructions for creating a
debian package, then did a dpkg -i of the packages that were built. Prior
to running 2.2.7a-0.2, I was running 2.2.3a from the stable debian
package. I switched to 2.2.7a-0.2 because of the ongoing problem with
default printer settings on builds prior to

Login script doesn't run
Hi,
The login script has worked for our win98 computers since the dawn of time (or
there abouts). Then something happened or I did something and the login script
doesn't run anymore. I can run it manually. This was version 2.2.3a.
I started smbd with -d10 and didn't see any call for a script. Is the login script
mentioned in a working system?
In an effort to fix this, I deleted and

How to join Linux to Win2k PDC
Hi All,
Sorry for asking the most repeated question again. Just because I could not get a proper guide for doing this. Can anyone please tell me how to make a linux system running samba server and client to connect ( log on to ) to a windows2000 based domain and act as a part of it ? Any useful link also would do.
thanks in advance :-)

SSH Closes Immediately After Opening
I used the latest version from here:
http://www.mls-software.com/opensshd.html
On my other (Windows 10) machine (on which openssh works), I have cygwin
installed, but if ssh was using cygwin, I wasn't aware of it. I just ran
ssh from the command prompt.

Exporting samba mount via NFS
Perhaps I'm trying to do something that is not allowed, but I have found
no such restriction in the documentation.
To limit the contact of my Linux boxes with the "products of Bill &
Co.", I have mounted a Windows share on my Linux server. When I try to
export that same share from the Linux server (as a plain old NFS
volume), it mounts without error, but the mountpoint

PANIC: share_modes_identical
When 2.2.4 was released, I updated my cvs and did ./configure and make (no
special options). Since I came in somewhat early today and nobody was
around I did the make install. Everything ran fine until I tried to load a
particular file and I'm receiving the following error and unable to open the
file on a network share. If I place the file on a local drive it loads
fine. Permissions and

Hmm... Perhaps not. Is something like cygwin required for it to work?

Login script doesn't run - Solved
I hate being stupid. Here is the answer:
This won't work:
[global]
logon script = %U.bat # Win9x needs this
This will work:
[global]
# Win9x needs this
logon script = %U.bat
The comment has to be on it's own line.
Thanks to all for trying to help.

'Access denied' when moving files
Hello. I've got a Windows 2000 Pro Sp2 client using Samba 2.2.4-2 on Red
Hat Linux 7.3. I've ran chmod 777 * +R on the directory that samba shares;
sharing is set as 'share' security. Lots of times, when I move video files
from my local hard drive on the Windows 2000 machine to the samba share
(mapped to a drive letter, not a UNC), I get an "Access denied, the source

I upgrade from 2.2.3 -> 2.2.7a using the debian packages. Now, i have a big

SIP 420
Hi;
I am running asterisk 1.6 from Fonality (Trixbox PRO).
I am trying to initiate a call FROM a softphone client to asterisk (either
an internal 4 digit extension call) or an outside line via a SIP trunk.
In both cases, asterisk rejects the call with a 420.
In this case, it?s a call from x3992 to x4415
Does this require a change on the softphone for x-call-detail?

Questions about static
Using an Asterisk system running 1.2 with Aastra phones.
Would be a cause of static for inbound/outbound and ext to ext calls?
Its voip both in and out.
We swapped, phones, cordes, switches etc?..
Typically a reboot of the phone resolves the problem?person also swears
there is nothing on or near their desk to cause interference (microwave,
cell phone is purse).
Strange??

Survplot, Y-axis in percent
Hi
I am a new fan of R after getting mad with the graphical functional in SPSS.
I have been able to create a nice looking Kaplan Meyer graph using Survplot
function.
However I have difficulties in turning the y axis to percent instead of the
default 0-1 scale.
Further I have tried the function yaxt="n" without any results. Any help in
this matter will be appreciated.
