what is patched and what is not?
I'm trying to pick a kernel for ext3.
Looking at the web page (http://www.zip.com.au/~akpm/linux/ext3/), I see
little that clues me in to the fact that "most" of ext3 is already in
(some|most|all) of the 2.4 series kernels.
Am I correct that most of the patches listed on the web page now are
actually bug fixes to the existing ext3 code, as opposed to previous
patches that actually

LVM (1.0.2 ), ext3 and 'hot' snapshotting
Hello, all.
I work with lvm ( kernel 2.4.17 + ext3-2.4-0.9.17-2418p3 patch ) but i can't
snapshot a ext3 fs directly
	# lvcreate --snap --name snap --size +1G /dev/vgtest/lvtest
	# mount -o ro -t ext3 /dev/vgtest/lvtest /snap /mnt/snap
	ext3 can't work , ext2 work

If I mount readonly the etx3 filesystem, snapshot-it, and remount rw the
filesystem ( and ro the snapshot ) it work

ext3-2.4-0.9.16
A small ext3 update. It fixes a few hard-to-hit but potentially
serious problems. The patch is against 2.4.18-pre3, and is also
applicable to 2.4.17.

Bad directories appearing in ext3 after upgrade 2.4.16 -> 2.4.18+cvs
Hi,
I recently upgraded one of my fileservers from 2.4.16 to 2.4.18 plus
the ext3-cvs.patch that Andrew Morton pointed me to for addressing
 and assertion failure.
Since then I have been getting lots of errors like:
May 21 14:07:03 glass kernel: EXT3-fs error (device md(9,0)): ext3_add_entry: bad entry in directory #2945366: rec_len %% 4 != 0 - offset=0, inode=1886221359, rec_len=24927,

Assertion Failure
I got this.. The system was usuable, but not very. If I tried to access the
ext3 volume, it would hang. Reboot hung too, complaining about too many
open files. Any ideas? I have no idea what triggered it; this is a big
file/web/mail server, with all of that on the ext3 volume. And I've never
run ksymoops before, but I think I did it right.

Error using e1071 svm: NA/NaN/Inf in foreign function call
Hello,
As far I saw in archive mailing list, I am not the first person with this problem. Anyway I was not able to pass this error once the information I got from the archive it is not very conclusive for this case. I have used linear, radial and sigmoid kernels for the same data in the same conditions and everything is ok. This problem just happens with the polynomial kernel. I send the
